Heritage Inn, Idaho Springs

We rented several rooms in our group. The rooms were filthy dirty and several people got bed bug bites rashes. We told the management and he said we were crazy and was probably from mosquitos...At 7,000 feet and 30F temps Dont think so. We will never stay at this dump again

I too will never stay at this place again! We stayed Oct 28, 2011 and our car was hit by another SUV or PU truck during the night in the parking lot due to the height of the damage to our car. Our insurance company and I have requested a copy of the security camera tape to try and determine who did the "hit and run," but nobody will return phone calls or even an email. The desk clerk gave us a copy of the guest vehicle license plates and showed us that a working camera was positioned just above our parking spot so determining who did it should be very simple. Buit the owner does not seem to care about repeat business.

We have stayed here a couple of times and have always enjoyed our visit. We recommend a room with a river view. You can watch the rafters float down right in front of your room and if your lucky the big horn sheep will come out on the side of the mountain on the other side of the river. Leave the sliding glass door open and let the river put you to sleep.The rooms were very clean and comfortable. What a great place to stay on your way through Colorado. Make sure you eat at Beau Jo's pizza down town while in Idaho Springs. You will not find a better hotel in Idaho Springs.We will definitely be back.

We used to love escaping from the city to the Heritage Inn for a few days, but no more. We were promised early check in when we made the room reservation but when we arrived the desk girl on duty refused to let us have the room. Pool hours posted in the pool area and in the rooms were all listed as beintg open until 10pm, though when we took the kids over to the pool at 9:15 for a swim before bed the pool was all locked up and we were told that "the hours had changed months ago" The continental breakfast was nothing more than juice & coffee, and not a single person offered a "sorry for the inconvinience" or a "thank you for staying" sometimes it's the little things that really matter, especially when a place goes from such extrodinary customer service to having none at all. It's a shame the owner passed this once great getaway on to the hands of his kids!

I made a quick decision to stay in Idaho Springs. What I didn't expect was the variety of rooms. My wife and I had a huge selection of rooms and we loved out stay. We highly recommend this property to anyone.

When I-70 was shut down my husband and 3 small children were looking for a place to stay. They had 1 room left but said no more than 3 people could stay. So instead of making an exception they put my husband and 3 kids back on a dangerous highway. I was floored!!

First, I was put in the wrong room. Was told the room I'd requested would be the same price and then they charged me an additional $18.97. My television wasn't working properly, and after the desk clerk's failed attempts to fix it I was told since I'd been there more than 15 minutes (because it took her a half an hour to get to my room) she couldn't switch me again or credit my card without "authorization". An hour and 45 minutes later I was told she had finally contacted the manager, but the only room she could switch me to were the more expenisive ones, and they would have to charge me even more money. Sound like a good experience? When I finally reached the manager the next day after staying the night somewhere else, I was flat out refused a refund on the grounds that he thought I should have wasted even more of my time waiting for him to show up to attempt to fix the problem himself. Nice guy.

We made the trip June 2006. My sister, niece and I made the trip to Idaho Springs for 2 days at this hotel. It was so nice we extended our stay for 2 more days. Location is great. Clean, comfortable. We had a room with minifridge and microwave with balcony next to creek. Relaxing sounds from the creek and rafters floating by made the down time from sightseeing very pleasant. They have an indoor pool,workout room and onsite guest laundry. The only negative is the continental breakfast. Pastries seemed to be old all mornings. Coffee great. I plan to stay there again.

Really enjoyed the quiet peaceful atmosphere....we were there in October. Service was helpful and friendly, rooms were clean. The stream behind is awsome
