Other Hotel Guests Spoil The Stay
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 6/1/08
Beautiful views, cute clean rooms and nice common area of a tv, lounge, dining room table and nice kitchen. Worth the money. Those were the pluses. BUT on this trip because of the uncomfortable beds, broken tv, thin walls and other loud, messy and rude guests there was no sleep or comfort found in the room. We cut our stay short there and went to the Hilton for a good nights sleep. Great for a family with kids. Not the cute romantic stay for couples unless you are the only ones there. Hotel staff tried alittle to make our stay better but not enough or with a smile, nor were they receptive to our valid concerns -other guests smoking in non smoking area. We will no return and we are sorry we came here. More minus than plus.

Not too bad
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 9/2/06
Not a bad view. Airport can be noisy at times The rooms are small, the new building is nice to stay in. The heat and AC need to be such that each room can control their own temperature. The thermostats now for air and heat are in the office on the bottom floor. I would recommend staying on the bottom floors. The old building is very old but also very nice. The old building has alot of history. Used to be Gov. Winthrops house. There is a pool and hot tub, although on my last vist there was now water in the hot tub. Internet access is very poor, need to update to wireless

Great get-a-way not to be dumped in a the Metro area!!!
By SHARON, 8/23/06
This place was so quaint, cozy and had such a friendly environmet. It has one of the most beautiful veiw of the Boston sky-line, if you are on the side of the inn toward the bay. Really, just beautiful. When we were there, there was a cafe, a pizza place, liquor store within yards of the place... a nice littel walk in a very qauint town. So quiet!!! I want to go back!!!!

Good value for area ...
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 4/3/06
This place is located w/ a view of the ocean and downtown Boston. It has that summer house on the water feel. Don't expect a lot of ammenities. Basically your room has a very nice view and is very romantic. Prices are usually between $99 and $129/night depending on season. The place does need a thorough fix-up (some things do need replacement), but it is acceptable for a quick stay. Rooms are a bit small, but with the location in Winthrop across from the Winthrop Yacht Club and bus stop, it is the perfect location to travel to and from Boston. Lots of places to eat and many places in the area for sight-seeing. Again, it has a quaint feel, and do not expect things to be perfect or like a regular hotel. It is more relaxed and more of that summer cottage feel. Knowing this, your stay will be quite fun.
