Wow, it was more than what I expected
By Kelly, 10/27/08
Hi, my name is Kelly Watson. I made a reservation on line for Oct. 24th, 2008 @ the Days Inn in Fairfield, CA. The rate was very low considering the average rate of the area. I had a few doubts about the cleanliness of the hotel because of the low rate but my experienced was totally different than what I expected. The hotel was not only clean but very nice. The room that I was given was very clean and big. They had most of my favorite channels. Most of the hotel I've seen have one HBO channel but this Days Inn had three HBO channels. Breakfast wasn't that fancy but good enough for the money I paid. My room was on the third floor. I had a nice view of the area from my room. They had copy and fax service in the lobby for a little cost. I made a good use of that service for my office work. They even had a guest laundry. I didn't have to look for a coin laundry nearby. Lots of fast food places were nearby. There was a fun park called Scandia, around the corner. I really enjoyed my stay at the Days Inn in Fairfield, CA.

"Nice and clean Motel for Economy Price"
By John, 10/21/08
My wife and I stayed at Days Inn on October 16th, 2008. The hotel was very nice and clean. The staff was friendly. The hotel provided local calls free. I needed to make a long distance call, the desk clerk let me use her cell phone to make a call. Continental breakfast was complimentary. I took my lap top with me. I was glad to find out they had wifi access and that was free. Room that we were in was very nice and roomy. We really enjoyed our stay there. I'll recommend this hotel to everybody who is looking for a nice hotel for reasonable price.

DON'T LEAVE THE LIGHTS ON!!
By Ronda, 06/25/07
We booked four rooms. ALL four rooms the lights didn't work in the bedroom. The bathroom lights did work. ALso, we had booked non-smoking room. The manager said he no longer had non-smoking rooms as of 2 months ago. BUt on our room doors they still said "non-smoking". In one of our rooms the smoke detector was pulled our of the ceiling. Safe right???? NEVER NEVER go to this place. THe dirty floors. Rude manager. We stayed during NASCAR weekend. Just think when not a busy weekend.

Don't bother - keep driving!!!
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 01/26/06
The housekeeping service was terrible and the carpets were so filthy that you could not take off your shoes off. White socks were no longer white!!! Towels were thin. The lobby has a stale odor -- they could burn a candle or better yet CLEAN!!!! I would not stay again as the price for that dump should have been $20.00 or less! Location was convenient to the freeway; however, you pay for that convenience because the traffic noise keeps you awake all night. Poorly insulated rooms and the air in the rooms was muggy and wet.

Never stay there again ever!!!!!!!!!
By joy, 12/06/05
When we first checked in we were not given the prices that were quoted to us on the phone when we booked. Then the remote to the television was broken not that the television is a big deal, but that should have been our first clue. The next day we had the " Do not disturb" sign on the door so that we could shower and relax as we prepared for the day. We were gone for over 8 hours. We had left at around 11, removed the sign and when we returned our room had not been cleaned. After complaining to the front desk we were told that we had a sign on the door telling them that we did not want to be disturbed. That was not true, and then after much conversation they brought us some sheets and towels. I was not going to remake the bed. And there towels do not look clean, they do not bleach them, they look like utility towels. We tried to talk to the manager, however he denied being the manager. After we left the office a lady that worked there told us that he was indeed the manager. We brought to their attention the lovely letter that they lay on our pillow after making the beds, that they promise to make our stay comfortable if not they would refund part of the stay, We could not get them to do this, and we could not find any corporate address to this facility. If you have it out here please list it here so that others can write to the offices. Also the beds are terrible, they are lumpy with springs poking into your back. The pillows are awful, they are flatter then pancakes, the blanket is like using a kleenex to cover up with. In other words avoid this place at all costs, it was close to our son's house but we will never stay there again,.

Travelers Beware
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 08/16/05
The only good thing about this hotel was the location. It is right off of I-80 and easy to get to. I requested a non-smoking room when I made the reservations through the Days Inn website. I was given a smoking room and I requested to change rooms. THe staff had no problem giving me a new room. However as soon as I settled into my new room, I had to move because the room had already been given to another customer. Because of all the room changes and the unorganized staff, I was late to the football game in SF. The rooms were worn and the bedding was in desperate need of replacing. The matresses are lumpy and not very comfortable. I paid $100 for the night and did not recieve my AAA discount although I was told at the time of reservation that they would honor my AAA as long as I showed them proof. THe front desk staff refused the discount even though I showed them my valid AAA card. I requested a late check out for 1:00 pm. There was a major car accident on the interstate which caused us to return late to our hotel after breakfast. Because I was 30 minutes late, I was was threaten with a late charge. The staff was extremly rude to me even though I apoligized for the late return to claim my belongings and explained to them the traffic on the freeway that was backed up due to the accident. Even after reminding the staff how understanding I was the night before when I went through 3 room changes, I was still treated very rudly becuase I was 30 minutes late checking out of my room. I requested a guest complaint card which I was told the hotel did not carry. Instead I was given a piece of plain paper and envelop and expected to write my complaint there to be had delivered to the manager. I opted to write the Guest Service of the hotel chain instead. I feared my hand written note to the manager would end up in the trash can. NEVER AGAIN will I stay at DAYS INN!!!!
