Quality Inn Santa Cruz, Santa Cruz

Great Hotel and Best service!! My reason for travel was to attend a wedding. I had late arrival but the front desk went beyond their way and accommodates me. They were very friendly and courteous. The Hotel is very Spacious and Comfortable. The Lobby was nicely decorated with Clean Carpet and modern Furniture. The room was very well maintained and smells fresh. I stayed in Standard Queen Room which was one of the finest. The hotel was quiet at night so I had great sleep. The complementary breakfast is wonderful; they have waffles made to order! The Bed and Pillow were smooth and soft. The hotel is located near to Santa Cruz Beach Boardwalk, Santa Cruz Wharf and the University of California Santa Cruz. I highly recommend this place.

Staffs are courteous. The bed is clean. Hot shower and clean towel. The light is bright for reading. It is quiet and short distance to board walk.

LIKED - location; room had windows on both sides of room (for fresh air exchange); furnishings were fine. DISLIKED - Manager's attitude about hidden charges that he expeted me to read in fine print before arriving. We had another family member joining us, so I ordered another bed. Paid $28 extra. Fine. Upon check-in They want to charge me $15 for another person. I asked that is what the extra bed was for, DUH! No dice. Had to pay. I did. But no extra towels for extra person...? I paid for it ! From 2 people for $89 to 3 people for $132 !!! Now I could have gotten into a better Motel for all 3 of us. NEVER in the past did we have to pay extra for another person, besides the 2nd bed.

I took my 3 year old and my mother. It was cheesy and old. The breakfast was gone by the time we got ready! The management didn't care. Never again! What a rip off!

When we arrived on a Friday the reservationist had misspelled our name so it took about 15 minutes to "find" it. The room was spartan, my kids were bummed that NONe of the cable channels had kids programming(nickelodeon, disney, pbs). So at 8:30 on a Friday with hopes of a family movie squashed we set off to downtown and "harrymania" provided a diversion at the local bookstore. The beds were dismal-lumpy with one SKINNY pillow per person, the towels were glorified dishtowels-at $169 with a AAA discount its pretty pricey for what you get-the Sand and surf which is pretty plush is $199-go figure!

My husband, 2 young(5 & 7) boys and I really like our stay. The rooms inside were very clean and outside was as well. It wasn't located downtown, but that was the best part because we got sleep. Across the street is a great ice cream shop and walking distance to Santa Cruz diner. All were very nice (employees and settings and prices).

I had to make last minute, summer reservation in a beach town and expected my choices to be quite limited. After reading some of the nasty reviews I wondered what I was getting into making the reservation. My concerns were unfounded! This Inn is clean, quiet, comfortable and reasonably priced. This is a nice place to stay and the Staff is very nice. The Continental Breakfast was a little sparse, in my opinion, but I took their business card and I will be back.

It was an older hotel, however it was clean, and large! I enjoyed my stay. I was amazed by the size of the room. There was a hallway in my room wish lead to the microwave, refrigerator, and bathroom. All of this for $56 a night. I recommend you ask for room 217, it may be the biggest room on the property. beyond the room was a common terrace, and seating area for the guests. I will happily stay there again, the nest time I am in Santa Cruz.

Managers were very rude.. We had my daughter visit twice while we stayed for 4 nights and each time were told visitors were not allowed. These visits were in the afternon once and early evening another time. Mind you we are not roudy teenagers.. We're in our late 50's and daughter was celebrating her 40th birthday. We will never stay there again.

We had a room on the second floor, thanks to the courteous manager, so no thumping from above. The room was very clean and large with a king-size bed. For a two-star lodging, we both enjoyed the quietness, the fridge and basic bathroom amenities. Above all, it's sooo clean. Situated amidst restaurants at a stone's throw, what more does one need for a good night's sleep? We loved it and a great rate too - we got our money's worth!
