Cant judge a book by its cover
By Sara, 07/21/09
I have been traveling for the last couple of months and this motel has been by far the nicest and cleanist one that I have been in. When you arrive at first glance you think its an older place and not to sure about the rooms. But like the saying goes you cant judge a book by its cover. This place was great. The personal at the front desk were friendly, the maids do a great job cleaning, will defitinely recomend to all of my friends and people that I know travel. I will be staying there again. PS. the price are great commpared to everyone else in Artesia.

Great place to stay!!
By Corinne, 07/18/09
The room was very large and clean. The bedding and towels were soft. Pillows fluffy. This was a great place to stay while traveling. The pool is nice and we received extra towels on check in. I have stayed there twice now and would stay there again.

SO GREAT FOR THE MONEY!
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 01/02/09
We were visiting here from San Diego to visit my husband at FLETC. It was a very emotional time for us all as it was Christmas time. We (my Mother in law, my son and I) came in late from our long drive... they were waiting for us. We were so relieved! Everything in our room was nice... of course not the Hyatt, but still nice and comfortable... we had coffee every morning and a microwave and fridge in our room... perfect for leftovers from eating out! All in all, it was a good time... we will be back soon to visit the hubs again soon! Velma was so nice, and her dogs are so cute!

Great Value
By Michael, 10/26/08
Wonderful amenities; coffee, microwave, frig. etc. at this older well kept inn. It was very clean and a friendly staff. Would recommend it for anyone unless you are wanting the Hyatt.

What a wonderful place!!!
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 08/13/08
My husband and I were camping with our dogs when our Great Pyreneese got bit by a rattlesnake. We were lucky enough to be close to Artesia and the vet clinic there to get our dog treated. They told us we would have to leave here overnight so we were looking for a hotel that would accept pets as we still had our pomerainian with us. Velma was able to give us a room for the night and made arrangements for us to stay an extra night as we didn't want to travel with our dog Tehya after having just gotten her back from the vet. The rooms were very clean and very comfortable and Velma and her employees were very friendly and made our stay very enjoyable. I will stay there every time I go to New Mexico.

The perfect place to get some sleep.
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 02/23/08
I work all over New Mexico. When traveling the south east part of New Mexico, the Artesia Inn is just fine with me. It is not the Hyatt, buy this classic older hotel has slowly been remodeling and updating. The employees are friendly and extremely helpful. With frig, micro, cable tv, and wirelss internet in the room, it is a super value. It is the place I like to stay. John Freisen JNF Enterprises Inc.

This is the place folks!!
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 12/19/07
Bless her heart!! There was no vacancy and my husband was down there in a semi needing a place to park it for the night as his load unloaded the next morning a couple blocks away. She allowed him to park his truck in her lot. As a truck driver's wife I can tell you that this is very rare. Usually if a semi is parking there (if there is room for any truck to park at all), you have to be a costumer. It is very difficult at times for truck drivers to find a place to park their big trucks and this lady is very much appreciated for her kindness. Folks, I spoke to her for a short time on the phone tonight but I can tell you that if we were down there in a car or any other time there was a vacancy, this is the place I'd want to stay.
