Econo Lodge South, Springfield

Staff is nice but you barely see them. If you go to the front desk you must ring the bell EVERYTIME to talk to someone. Free chocolate chip cookies in the evening- and they are wonderful! The pool is nice but right in the middle of the hotel with windows all around so everyone checking in or walking down the hall can see you. The exercise room is nice but small. You have to get a separte key from the front desk in order to use it. Would be nice if you could just use your room key. Equipment is outdated. An exercise bike, 2 treadmills(one didn't work) and a machine to work your arms with t.v to watch. NO ELEVATOR. If you have large bags I hope you have a good back becuase you are going to have to lift them up the stairs. Breakfast is nice but they only have one "hot" item. Had biscuits and gravy which was good. Everything else is cold-ceral, yogurt, muffins, toast. Noise was horrible. Could hear traffic all day long. Fan made a siren sound. Refrigerator buzzed loudly. Could hear every noise in hallway and next door. Woke up thinking someone was in my room because of footsteps. It was someone walking around in the next room. Paper thin walls. Room was very clean and they were prompt to clean in the morning when I was gone. Did have a problem with facet dripping. Left note to have fixed and was immediatly. Price was reasonable. Would not stay again but only for noise reasons. If you are a deep sleeper this would be fine. On a business trip and needed my rest. Didn't get any. If you are wheel chair bound you might have problems. I believe only the second floor is non smoking. They do allow pets but thankfully I didn't hear any barking at the time I was there.

Wasn't the cleanest room ever, in fact there was a comment card on the desk we found after getting ready to leave, and it said, who cleaned the room etc, and merry christmas, mind you we stayed yesturday which is January 19,2008. If that room hasn't even been cleaned since before Christmas there is a problem. I work in a hotel and even if nobody stays in the room, they still go in there and lightly at least, and these rooms OBVIOUSLY had not been cleaned in a while. I wont be staying there again and I would advise you to spend a little more and get a way better room somewhere else :).

The rooms were pretty small, but clean. We stayed two nights and both nights we were not able to sleep because of our young teenage neighbors. We could hear every word they said. We told the manager, and they did warn them, but the noise did not stop. These girls couldn't have been more than 18 years old. I will not return.

this hotel was very clean and comfortable. the fitness center had relatively modern equipment, whereas some hotels, even nicer ones, have archaic equipment. we got a suite which was actually like two rooms, it had two bathrooms. out of all our hotel stays this was the roomiest and most comfortable for our family. the beds were pretty comfortable, we enjoyed our stay very much. the rooms decor is a bit dated though. would stay again if in the area.

This Comfort Inn is right off Highway 65 so it is convenient and a great location. The rooms are extremely clean and well maintained. The staff was wonderful and very helpful. We have stayed here several times over the past six months and have always been extremely pleased. Breakfast is a good selection of pastries and hot waffles. The staff keeps the breakfast area supplied and picked up. When traveling to Springfield, MO, this is the place we well chose to stay.

The hotel appears to be nice but once you get inside it is horrible. The whole place smells like urine. The rooms we had were filthy and not well kept. The hotel staff was very discouteous and very arrogant. They acted like they were doing you a favor by letting you stay there. Very rude!

This hotel is a joke. The front desk service is absolutely horrible and the staff is very rude. The owner of the hotel is interested in the bottom line only. The rooms are dirty and the halls are filthy. Go somewhere esle!!!!
