One nice place
By K, 10/23/09
I have stayed on 2 different occasions, right in the middle of everything what more can a traveler ask for. Clean and classy hotel near trolley's and in walking distance of entire French Quarter.

Great hotel in a great location
By Micky, 06/26/09
A very classy hotel at a very reasonable price (paid $89 AAA rate on a Saturday night). Location was great- right at the edge of Bourbon Street. A previous reviewer recommended getting an interior room (facing the pool or courtyard), which we did, to avoid the noise of Bourbon Street. I actually didn't notice any noise at all. Room was very clean and the bed was very comfortable with thick pillows. Parking was the only thing that was expensive ($24 self-park or $28 valet, plus tax). To be fair I don't thing the hotel has much control over the parking rates due to the location. The basic cost was no more than most discount chains in the area and it felt much more like a "luxury" hotel.

Very helpful service and great location
By Nathan, 03/19/09
This is definitely a great hotel in a prime party location. I was here for a convention and ended up being above one of the Bourbon bars so I found it hard to sleep at first, but after requesting a room change to the 4th floor I was able to sleep just fine. If you are here to party all night, this shouldn't won't be a concern, but for those of you on business trips, this could definitely the difference between a productive or groggy morning. The staff were very accommodating in making my stay comfortable.

We won't go back unless the ac situation changes
By Elana, 02/28/09
GOOD: I really liked the location & cleanliness of the hotel. BAD: I absolutely hated the ac situation. It was so HOT! The day was rainy and humid and each time we left our room and returned the ac was off. When we called down about the heat, they informed us of the sensor on the ac unit and said it would cool down in about 20 min. During the night we both woke up sweating. We would get up and wave our arms in front of sensor so that the ac would come back on. Upon leaving, they apologized but they didn't seem sincere.

If you like sleep/ chose an interior room
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 11/03/08
I liked the staffs friendliness. I did not like the street noise that lasted ALL NIGHT LONG. We went to New Orleans during Halloween. It was great. The hotel was located in an excellent spot for walking to everything. The only problem was we were in a room overlooking Bourbon Street. At night the clubs and music were so loud that the floor vibrated. Friday night the music continued until around 3:00AM and Saturday night the music did not stop until 6:00am when the street cleaners came out to clean the streets. The hotel staff was excellent. On Saturday afternoon we wanted to watch a football game on a chanel that our room television would not get. We called the front desk and asked if they could fix it but it was a problem that they had no control over. They recommended to us to go down to the lounge and watch it. We went there and the bar tender turned all 3 large screen tv's on for us to watch. It was just about as good as being at the game itself. By the time the game ended about 15 other people who we never knew before were watching the game with us. We will return to this hotel the next time we go to New Orleans but willl definately request an interior room

Not enough bang for the buck
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 07/02/07
We loved the location and the staff. However, parking was ridiculous at 25 a day. The breakfast was the worst hotel breakfast I have ever seen. It all tasted like it just came out of box. I have had better at cheaper hotels.

I'll never go back
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 04/25/07
The front desk personnel were wonderful. The hotel was very clean and neat. Their management leaves a lot to be desired. I was just there 12-20 April 2007 and was robbed blind by the cleaning staff. Not only was a large amount of money removed from my briefcase, which was inside my suitcase, but management and security were not helpful at all. Not to mention that 3 other people in our group found evidence of rifeling through their luggage and personal belongings. Still trying to be reimbursed by hotel.

Great value!
By Dottie Fro, 04/15/07
We just recently got back from NO (4/07). This hotel was in a great location. 1 block from Bourboun St and 1 block to Canal St. From the hotel many attractions were within walking distance (Jackson Sq, Cafe du Monde, Bourbon St, great restaurants). We had a room that overlooked the pool. The room was large and quiet. The only bad thing I can say about our the hotel is the parking. We had to park across the street in a 6 floor garage with an elevator that was not working. Walking up 6 flights of stairs in the urine smelling staircase was not fun. Otherwise, the people in the hotel were friendly and helpful. We recommend this hotel for its location and its staff.
