cheap and nasty
The internet booking for this forgets to mention the 22% add on taxes they subsequently add, (12% taxes and 10% service charge) Thats not uncommon in the country BUT its hardly clear in their booking site. The rooms are sparse, poorly equipped, noisy and are NOT clean in the acceptable sense, they are ...for a 4th world country but not for 2nd world prices.
The water is hit and miss ( see other previous review)and the services as advertised are really non existent ie mini bar = two bottle water, Tv with cable ( 90% spanish). In room safe ( doesnt work). Multi lingual... barely enough to ask your name and not enough to explain charges etc.
As for location, it couldnt be better central and easy walking access to the city. Thats a BIG plus, also since last being in Guayaquil 2 years ago the area at night around this hotel is well lit, clean and is reltively safe to walk even in the early hours.
Its not a place to stay unless under budget restrictions and does Not reflect the standards of BEST WESTERN anywhere else in the world. So if you are used to decent BW standrads you'll be sadly disappointed.
