Great Bargain-Great Location!!
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 09/12/09
We stayed during 4th July week-end; the room was clean- a little worn, but comfortable beds and CLEAN. The morning breakfast was just right- the location is great for Graceland and not too far from Beal Street---then the pool was a nice ending to the night. You can not beat this bargain for the price and location of this hotel. We have told all of our friends and relatives that this is the place if you want to go to see Elvis!

The best in Southern hospitality!
By Amy, 08/27/09
We are from Washington State and we were in Memphis for a week. This was the first time at the Days Inn Graceland and we LOVED it! The room was clean, comfortable and a fabulous home away from home. We can't say enough about the helpful, caring staff. Our rental car was hit in the parking lot and the staff went above and beyond trying to help us locate who did this to our vehicle. For them to take the time to watch the parking lot video, etc just to help 2 tourists from WA state is unbelievable! We will definitely suggest this hotel to everyone we know!

Service Without a Smile
By DeborahJ, 08/13/09
With the exception of several cleaning staff members, this was the unfriendliest hotel I have ever stayed in. The front desk staff rarely even made eye contact. The rooms are clean, but small. The towels are very worn, dingy and some had small holes. When we requested extra towels (we only had 3 for a room that served 4), we were told to come and get them. When the staff serviced the room after our first night, they took the used towels but did not leave us any fresh ones (we had to go back downstairs for more). All of this pales in comparison to the beds. The mattresses are horrible. They are so soft, they feel as if they have no support coils inside. With 2 people to a bed, the heavier person feels like they will roll off onto the floor. I slept on the floor the second night. The coke machine was empty and so was one ice machine. The hair dryer in my room didn't work. The fridge and microwave did (although the microwave groaned like two metal gears moving together without lubricant). The air conditioner was great and the shower had plenty of hot water. Be prepared for Elvis music 24/7 on the grounds. The hotel serves a nice continental breakfast and had plenty of items up until the 10:00 cutoff time. The hotel is across the street, and one long block, from the entrance to Graceland. We were able to walk to the gate one evening and take pictures. You can also walk directly to the ticket pavillion and the other official Graceland attractions from this hotel. Parking for Graceland is $10.00.

Stole Money
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 05/15/09
I called and booked one room for two nights in Memphis, TN. I called the next day and cancelled the room, realizing I called the wrong place. I called and stayed at West Memphis, AR Days Inn. The Days Inn in Memphis, TN charged me for not canceling, which I did! On top of that, they had booked two rooms for one night, which was incorrect from the first time I called. I am going to the media and having an attorney pursue this since I have found other articles where this is happening. DO NOT STAY AT DAYS INN so they can NOT charge your credit card whatever they feel like. I am out $240.00 for one of their employees mistake. When I tried to call Corporate, they told be to take it up with the Memphis, TN manager, which has stopped returning my phone calls. DAYS INN is a total scam, which is very sad, considering I stayed at one of their properties the same weekend. They still charged me without any hesitation. Bob B. (St. Louis, MO)

DON'T DO IT!!!
By traveller, 03/31/09
I don't know what these flowery message people are talking about. I stayed here in March for 3 days and was SCARED TO DEATH!!! If I had not had non-refundable pre-paid reservations I would not have stayed! In fact, I even considered just counting the pre-payment as "lost money" and going somewhere else. The neighborhood is down right FRIGHTENING. I felt extremely unsafe. The lobby smelled of old moth balls. The temperpedic bed was like sleeping on clay. The towels were hand towels from Dollar Tree and torn. The woman at the desk was not welcoming or friendly. The "plethora" of cereals that they advertise is really generic cereal from the discount store down the street. The taste gave it away! Some people said that you get what you pay for so don't expect the Hilton - but, this was not an experience I'd repeat. It was not worth the bargain. I do not recommend it to others at all!!! Word of Caution: Beware of pre-paid non-refundable deals. I see why they have this rule. They'd never make any money!!!

GHETTO
By Bonnie, 03/22/09
When I booked the room at this hotel, I did not realize it was in the Ghetto. While convienently located across the street from Graceland, that was about the only 'good' feature of this hotel. My vehicle was broken into on my 2nd night there. The woman at the front desk was not helpful in any way, she couldn't even give me a phone number or reference to a glass shop to get my window replaced. The police said at least once a week a car is broken into. The Days Inn DOES have a security video surveillance and "supposedly" a night guard who patrols the area, yet NO ONE could figure out when or who broke into my vehicle. If you fly into Memphis, and take a cab to the hotel, you would probably have a better stay. The room itself was "ok", there was a wad of hair (weave) stuck on my shower wall, and the room was fairly small. Overall, I would NOT recommend this hotel to anyone.

Had an excellent stay !
By Terrie, 12/23/08
If your an Elvis fan this is the place to stay! Big, very clean, memory foam pillow top that was extremely comfortable. The staff was very helpful even got us a free ride in a pink cadillac limo to Marlows (an Elvis memoralbilia restraunt with great food including very crispy yummmy southern fried food as some of the side dishes) and then a ride back. The lobby and rooms are a true tribute to Elvis. This Days inn is the best we have ever stayed in and would definately recommend it to all, it was also extremely reasonably priced. Don,t leave your camera in the car you are going to want it around. Go to the second floor for a picture of the unique guitar shaped pool.

Money left over.
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 07/11/08
We couldn't have picked a better place to stay. Close to everything we wanted to do. The staff were very helpful and polite. Room was nice, clean and quiet. Could, if anything, had more big towels. Good assortment of breakfast items. Pool was unique and the Elvis music being played made the poolside fun more fun. The price was easy on the pocket book allowing us to do a few other things. I have already recommended this place to my brother, brother-in-law and my cousin. For sure I would stay here again next time I am in Memphis.

wonderful stay!
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 06/30/08
We stayed here 5 days and had a great time. The room was big enough for 3 ladies and all their stuff. We walked to theGraceland mall everyday and did the tour. There are close places to get food and if you are an Elvis fan this is the place to be.The only thing I could complain about is the thin towels and the pool was always full.

Very pleasant stay
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 06/01/08
Our 2 nights at Graceland was a wonderful experience. Great location right across the street from Graceland mansion. Convenient souvenir outlet right next door to Days Inn, so avoid souvenirs at Graceland itself. Very expensive. No complaints about the neightbors. We walked the neighborhood and found them friendly. Ate at Picadilly Cafeteria up the street. Very reasonable. Back parking lot a little isolated but everything was OK. Would stay again
