Best hotel
By Dave, 4/3/12
Best hotel I have stayed at and it being right across from the beach for the price was awesome. Thanks for a great stay!

We would definitely stay again.
By Adolfo, 3/20/12
Can't believe how much I enjoyed my stay here. I never expect much from smaller name hotels but they gave just as great service as one! We would definitely stay again.

Great Stay
By Neil, 3/14/12
It is comparable - price wise, to all the other hotels on Tybee Island. The staff was friendly and the hotel had great access tot he beach. The swimming pool was clean and the kids enjoyed swimming in it.

Adequate
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 8/13/09
The location was ewxcellent. It was within walking distance of the beach and seafood dining. It was not very clean, but the price would reflect that. We weren't expecting to have the Ritz Carlton at the price. We slept well and had our needs met.

It was Ok...
By tngirl21, 4/14/09
We went over spring break so the rates were actually double what they should have been! We paid $169 for the Jacuzzi Suite which had tissue paper stuffed in the bathroom vent. There was a random hole in the ceiling. The hotel was clean as you could expect a hotel to be. The Breakfast consists of donuts, danishes, fruit loops and tang instead of real orange juice. I was disappointed by that since I couldn't feed my son a healthy breakfast- not even a banana! I would recommend if you are paying between $50-$70 a night. It is close to everything on Tybee and has free parking.

WONDERFUL WONDERFUL
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 4/15/08
ME AND MY FRIENDS HAVE STAYED AT THIS MOTEL MANY TIMES. JUST RETURNING THIS WEEK ACTUALLY FROM SPRING BREAK. AS ALWAYS IT WAS A WONDERFUL TRIP AND A NICE MOTEL NO ITS NOT YOUR ELITE PRESTIGIOUS MOTEL ( BUT WHO CARES, IF YOU WANT THAT GO UP THE ROAD TO DESOTO OR RENT A CONDO, OR HMM GO ACROSS THE ROAD TO THE OCEAN PLAZA THE DUNES BEATS THEM HANDS UP FOR THE PRICE)I LOVE THE STAFF THEY ARE FRIENDLY YEAHHHHHH DIANE. WE HAD TO GET ANOTHER COFFEE POT BUT HEY TIS IS LIFE, CLEAN LINENS EVERYDAY, COULD GO ANYTIME TO THE BREAKFAST AREA AND GET COFFEE, FILTERS, BOWLS, PLASTIC FORKS ETC, MY GOSH WHAT DOES SOME OF THESE PEOPLE WANT MAID SERVICE AND A BUTLER? BREAKFAST IS DONUTS, CEREAL, JUICE( NOT THE INSTANT BUT THE GOOD) MILK, COFFEE PASTRIES. I KNEW THIS IS WHAT THEY HAD SO I BROUGHT MY GRITS OR WHATEVER I WANTED TO EAT AND HAD A TASTY BREAKFAST. ME AND MY GROUP WILL BE BACK AS WELL AND MY FAMILY AND I.. KEEP UP THE GOOD WORK DUNES!!!!!!!!!!!

It was just fine
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 10/13/07
The people at the desk were friendly and helpful; the room was adequate. I like a healthy (whole grain) breakfast, so I brought my own cereal and just used the bowls and milk from downstairs (My husband and kids were happy with donuts and "vacation cereal!") We enjoyed the pool when we came off the beach- which was a quick, easy walk from the hotel. Because we were there sort of off season (October), we often had the pool to ourselves.

Please read before booking this hotel
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 10/1/07
A group of us (20) decided to spend the weekend at Tybee. We all wanted to be at the same hotel, so we chose the Dunes since they had enough empty rooms.. should have been the first clue...Upon entering our room late on Friday, I had to kill a huge roach on the wall. I called the front desk to ask for another room, was told these roaches are the palmetto bug and there is nothing to stop them from flying into the room, but if they are the small ones he would be worried. He said he had no other rooms available until the next day. Needless to say, I slept with the light on. The next morning about 10 I went to the pool leaving my boyfriend behind to get dressed and the maid came to clean. She opened the door with out knocking. Luckily my boyfried was dressed. She said she would come back later. Well at 3 oclock that day we went back to the room and she had not returned to clean and bring fresh linens. I called the front desk and was told the maids left for the day..sorry..I could come downstairs and get some clean towels if "I WANTED TOO."Oh, and let me add this as well..A coffee pot is in the room but if you want coffee and cups you have to go get them from the desk. The free continental breakfast consists of donuts, coffee and there version of orange juice is the cheap powered orange flavored mix. I discussed my unhappiness with the owner and was told..nothing she can do about roaches...that the maid surely didn't walk in on us before knocking, but if she did she would have a talk because she didn't understand english well. I asked for a discount on the rates since we didn't feel we got our money's worth, she said..sorry but the maid did come to clean but my boyfriend was still in the room at that time. She was not interested in what I had to say, told me she had her kids waiting in the car. I am glad I put this on my credit card. I will dispute this. The hundred dollar a night price should not include roaches.
