It was amazing

This was an amazing experience for myself and my two friends to celebrate 57 years of friendship. We sat on the roof of the hotel and watched the Parthenon lit up at night and enjoyed some ouzo. The hotel was perfect for us- central and reasonable in price. Would stay there again in a heartbeat. The staff was friendly and the breakfast was just great.

A Pearl.

The staff went out of their way at all times of day to help our visit to Greece go as well as possible. They really helped make our trip much better, with references for books and services, without steering us to anything, but suggesting things in relation to what WE wanted to do and see. I've been to Athens 11 times, and this hotel is my new favorite for value, location, and friendly service. Our taxi driver, who picked us (a mother and college-age daughter who'd never been to Europe before, and me) up at the airport and drove us wherever we wanted to go (all over the Greek countryside!) for 3 days, was also well impressed, after asking us several detailed questions about it. Our room was a bit larger than I expected, with a little balcony for fresh air and drying clothes overnight. I really love the location, with a great roof-top view of the Acropolis but not on a noisy street, and their breakfast was adequate to keep us going until lunchtime. Between this hotel, a 4-day cruise reserved through a Greek travel agent, and our lovely taxi driver, we saved a lot of money AND saw a LOT more of Greece in comfort than we thought anyone could in a week! My son is wanting to do the same trip for his honeymoon next month! We're all planning to do this again asap, and take more of our family with us!

location, location, location

For the price, you can't beat this modest gem. Not only with a view (Acropolis, first room for first part of our trip; Filopappou, second one), but desk staff (3 out of 4) very friendly & helpful, especially the lady with glasses (I'm sorry I forgot her name). They even upgraded our room on the second leg of our trip. The Acropolis could hardly be any closer, and the metro is about a 10 minute walk. The rooms are spartan, but clean and adequate (tight shower, but that's the norm for Greece). Beds are harder than I'm used to in U.S., but consistent with similar category hotels across Greece. Unless I win the lottery, I would definitely stay there again.

Excellent service, great location and extremely good value. Visit Vitro's for good food and entertainment. Roof top garden gives great view of Acropolis both day and night. Would recommend to everybody visiting Athens and hope to return soon. Daphne and John Purser - energetic over 60's
