Bigots' Paradise
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 1/17/11
User Rating: 1 out of 5 stars by Rose Kulsum 01/17/2011 I stayed there on 12/15/10 and I was really offended by the older lady working in the breakfast area. I didn't like the "racial slurs" she was making; something about taking "blacktop" to Mt Rushmore to sculpt Obama's face. She told this "joke" to at least 3 different groups of guest that came in to the cafeteria. Very, very unprofessional to say the least. I went up to the front desk to speak to the manager about this and he/she wasn't available, so I asked for the corporate number and the young lady refused to give it to me! So I guess if I'm going to a KKK or Neo-Nazi Rally, I could probably get corporate discounted rates. I will never stay there again and advise any person of color or non-racist to stay clear.

This is not a good place to stay for a visit!
By Sheyla C, 6/13/09
The hallways were full of smoke. It was very stinky and it wasn't supposed to be a smoking floor. The cleaning crew didn't look very professional when we passed by. It took forever for them to take out the pile of trash they left by the stairs. The shower head could have used some CLR! I wasn't expecting a four star service but I was expecting to at least be greeted by someone that liked their job! NOT THERE! The breakfast was cold muffins and bread with some jelly! Just find a better place while in Rapid City!

Not again
By AmeeD, 8/20/06
We stayed here one night with our family on the way home from Mt. Rushmore and I would never stay here again. The price is good but you pay for what you get. The room was run down and not real clean. It was hot and the air conditioner kept freezing up so the room was hot and uncomfortable. I was not pleased. The water slide is a great plus but the pool is small and very crowded. The slide is used by all guests big to little so in the evening when the kids wanted to swim it was unsafe and over crowded (big kids/adults do not always watch for little ones and did not seem to follow rules). I noticed there are many places in the area to stay that offer a water slide; I would check them out before staying here.
