Inn At The Waterpark, Galveston

The room was ok, but if you are going on a ship they don't really plan for the amount of people they have booked. They tell you to be out there early but don't waste your time!

This place is horrible!! They charged my sisters account 3 times saying her card had been declined! Then took her cash and wouldn't release her money until she threatened to tell everyone she knew what a horrible experience she had. JEWLERY WAS STOLEN FROM OUR ROOM, the manager was never there when they said he was going to be and there were dirty underwear in the closet the day we arrived!! They never took out our trash and the pool was ridiculously dirty. The only good thing was that it was close to the softball fields! I will not be staying here again!

I read a lot of reviews about this place and used my own judgement. I am glad I did! The rooms there are so nice. We stayed in the new section and it had security doors, which means just anybody couldn't get in to walk the halls. The rooms were clean, very spacious and quiet. My husband and I enjoyed ourselves very much and will return to take the kids to Moody Gardens which is right behind the hotel. Just ask to stay in the new section. The only problem was the over authorization on the credit card but it was taken care of by the next day. The stay was wonderful!

I and my daughter went for spring break we live 348 miles from galveston,texas. We enjoyed the hotel,the only problem was the shower did not produce enough water and it was not warm enough,schitterbalm,moodley gardens was right there,other than that I would go back.And the stupid telphones did not work.

I had not planned on staying here but there was a problem with my Holiday Inn reservation and they referred me here for the night. The staff was very friendly and helpful, no complaints there. The location is not bad but the view of a water storage tank from our room was a little depressing. The room was clean and comfortable, nothing fancy. There was a fridge, coffee maker, microwave but no iron or ironing board. There is only a shower, no tub. If there was an elevator, we didn't see it or get told about it, our room was on the second floor and we had to carry our luggage up two flights of stairs. It's probably great for spring-breakers, maybe even families with small kids. If you stay here, ask for a room on the front side of the hotel so you don't have to look at the water tank!

We went there specifically to go to Moody Gardens and Schlitterbahn. It was very close. The place is newly renovated and for the price, the room was larger than expected. We had no problem getting a roll away for a grandchild. The room was clean and just right for a family who plans only to sleep there and be elsewhere all day. The pool and hot tub was clear and bright but had some debris in it. We asked that it be "dipped" and it was done immediately. We would recommend going there for anybody on a tight budget.
