They Kept my wedding cake
By Olga, 3/29/12
I was married there this weekend. Every aspect of my wedding was beautiful until the following day when I went to pick up the remainder of my four tier wedding cake. I had a wedding of less than 80 guests. I ordered a four tier wedding cake and informed them that I wanted to divide my cake between family members. When I went to pick up my caked I was first told they could not find my caked. After waiting for almost an hour they returned to give me the top tier of my cake and a box filled with the flowers they removed from my cake. I was then later told by Vicky that my cake was a sloppy mess and completely trash that had to be thrown out. She claimed it was soaking in alcohol therefore it was not any good. I have pictures of the slices my family brought home and it is nowhere soaking wet or falling apart. I spoke to Vicky, Stephanie and Nick and to no avail did they offer to refund me for a cake that was eaten and taken by the staff there. Nor will they make this right. Kirk thinks that by refunding two nights out of a three night stay will replace a cake that was paid for and never received. We paid $350.00 for a cake that we did not receive. the majority of my guests did not receive a slice nor did my husband and he was the groom. 'The wedding cake was sliced in small thin wedges to boot. So only one tier was sliced and it was the second to the smallest as it is therefore they kept the size 14, 12, and remainder of the 10 inch sizes of my cake. My unity candle was also broken by their staff and again they will not replace it. I would never recommend that anyone have any celebration there. Unless you do not mind paying for items that you do not receive. As I paid for a four tier cake that they apparently felt they had the right to keep and not give to the couple who paid for it.

1/2 way there!
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 5/10/09
I travel frequently for the government and I have stayed at Harris Ranch frequently. The hotel is a getting old, so you can't compair it to some of the new hotels; however, a benefit of the age is the great gardens and architecture features (tile roofs, very large heated pool, ect.). Two resturaunts and a lounge are on site. Best of all-I found the employees in both the hotel and resturaunts to be friendly and provide great service.

Wonderful Place!
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 3/8/09
Despite what was said by evenal, Harris Ranch is not surrounded by barren wasteland. The land of Central Valley grows 80% of the WORLD'S food. If you drive down the road a little more, you will seen vast amounts farmland and almond trees. And that smell is the biggest cattle ranch in the State of California a few miles north. Now that we have the facts straight, the service at the restaurant is always wonderful. The helpful servers are always there to fill your glass or clear away an empty plate. The rooms are clean and bright. They have a lot of natural light, and are not too far away from one of three jaccuzis on the premises. I have stayed there a few times, and plan to hold my wedding reception there in June in their newly renovated ballroom.

The absolute best place to stay in Central california. I have been staying there for more than a decade. The rooms are very comfortable and it is sparkling clean. They always provide fantastic service. The food is excellent too.

The only place to stay in Central Ca.
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 2/18/08
The amenities are wonderful, nice clean sparkling pool & jacuzzi. The rooms are clean and decorated very tastefully, the beds(the rooms with the pillowtop mattress') are more comfortable than being at home. We like the fact that each room has an A/C unit that actually works so that we can obtain our obpimal temp for comfort. The grounds are impecibally maintained. The Steak House while a little pricy is worth every penney. You can literally cut the steak with a fork, the flavor and tenderness is comparable to none. All in all it's a piece of heaven in Central California.

Lipstick on the glass
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 2/13/08
Last time we stayed there was lipstick on the drinking glass and it looked as if the room had been used and straighten up. We notified the manager and he discounted the room, but we'll bring our own paper cups next time.

Will Always Stay there!
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 8/28/07
This is one of the best kept secrets on the Interstate 5. You must stay here to enjoy the ambiance of the rooms, hotel staff, food is wonderful, especially eating in the dining room, not the coffee shop when you stay here. Lovely rooms, great gift shop, and the staff is always very pleasant. We have stayed here for over 18 years, and probably 40 times. I love it, you will too!

nice room
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 7/16/07
Our room was spacious, the pool and jacuzzi were excellent after being in the car all day. The restaurant was very overpriced though. I recommend eating elsewhere.

restaurant service consistant
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 5/12/07
We think the location is pretty special. Lovely facility, (especially pool area) however, after going several times over the years there has been a pattern of errors made in food that is ordered, even in the higher priced steak restaurant. My husband ordered an end cut prime rib with scallops. It came back as a regular cut with shrimp. I think it is the waiter's responsibility to make sure it is presented as ordered even if the kitchen made the mistake. We then had to wait for another order to be placed. Had a similar problem last year and also with breakfast last year as well. I'd like to see the steak salad on that menu as well. It's only in the other one. I think they should also offer something with less than 3 eggs. Not even an egg sandwich! The waiter was kind enough for me to order a child's entree. I also want to mention that I find the rooms terribly dark. Although we did not need a 3 star accommodation, I find it strange that any room not have an iron and ironing board. Please improve upon that if nothing else. Thank you kindly.

Overpriced
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 9/10/06
Convenient place to stay while travelling between N. and S. Caifornia, but seemed overpriced for what we got. Beds were bumpy, robes had stains on them and the in-room coffee maker had not even been cleaned after the previous guest.
