Luxor Hotel and Casino, Las Vegas

My family and I visited the Luxor hotel, in Las Vegas, for the Criss Angel show. Before the show, we sat down to play the slots and eat at the buffet. We had nothing, but, horrible service the entire time we were there. I was treated poorly by the barmaid, mind you, I was visiting Las Vegas for my 21st Birthday, she refused to serve me and asked me to leave the game floor. I had not had anything to drink that day, and my ID was valid, I still do not understand it. The buffet- it was 22 dollars per person to eat there, the food was good, but definitely not worth the money. The service on the other hand... WOW! I cannot believe how awful we were treated. The servers and the woman using the register, treated all of us as if we were burdening them somehow, at there job! We had a friend meet us there for lunch, who had a baby, they made us switch tables in the middle of our meal, because the baby was inconveniencing them trying to get through. Again, the baby was taking up very little space, in the large aisle. At one point, one of the female servers actually yelled at my mom, the reason? We have no idea! I will NEVER visit the Luxor again, let alone pay to stay there to be treated like that.

I have stayed in just about every hotel in Vegas and the surrounding areas. Never before have I been to such an awful place and there are some pretty nasty hotels on the outskirts of Vegas. Coming in from a late night out on the town all you want to do is sleep however it is impossible do so when you are presented a room that looks like someone has been murdered in it! There was blood all over the carpet and on the bed sheets. One might ask why they didnt clean the sheets but prehaps it just soaked through the bed in either cases it violated a ton of health and safety standards. After having been exposed to the chance of potentially getting an STD from their uncleaned room. Their Valet put major damages into the door of my car and the casino refuses to pay saying that they are not liabile for it when they clearly are. WORST HOTEL EVER DO NOT STAY HERE YOU WILL REGRET THE DECISION WHEN THEY ARE A TON OF BETTER CASINO AROUND WHO WONT PUT YOU THROUGH ALL THE HASSEL

Beware!! At checkout even though you paid in advance they ( Luxor ) will charge you a LX resort services fee that you didn't expect or even want. I asked at check-in and I was told " It's all paid" at check-out they hit my credit card with a $50.40 additional fee.

My husband and I recently spent three nights at the Luxor on a special that included complimentary tickets to see a Cirque du Soleil show. Check-in was very quick and we were given a Pyramid room on the casino level. Later that evening, after I fell asleep, water starting leaking through the light fixture over the table right into my purse. :O Luckily, my husband heard the dripping and we called the front desk. They promptly sent a Bellman to our room and moved us to one of the East Tower rooms. That room was quite adequate and in the end,l we enjoyed our stay at the Luxor. Overall, our stay was a good value and we found the staff quick and courteous resolving issues and concerns. Luxor is within easy walking distance to Mandalay, Excaliber, New York, New York and the MGM. Luxor, Mandaly and Excaliber are connected and one can walk through all three without going outdoors. The outdoor bridge over to New York, New York and the MGM are convenient as well. (The Cirque KA' show at the MGM is outstanding to say the least. LOVED IT! The set is mind blowing.) I would stay at the Luxor again because the service and value were so good.

My Fiancee and I decided to have our wedding in Vegas. We stayed at the Luxor along with a group of over 20 other people. After a great day and beautiful wedding we retired to our room to spend our honeymoon night. At around 3:00 A.M. A cleaning lady took it upon herself to enter the room and start cleaning. Needless to say my husband freaked! After complaining to 2 managers, we were assured that we would be credited for the night and 2 free buffets. Needless to say we got nothing. The service was terrible!

I expected the Luxor's exterior to match its interior. My room was not clean and I had to clean the shower before using it. My sheets weren't changed all week. They are so scared that you'll run off with one of their cheap robes, they put a $100 hold on your credit card just to use one. Don't stay on the 5th floor on Wednesday through Sunday; apparently my room was located near a club in the hotel because I couldn't sleep because of the bass of the techno music that played until the wee hours of the morning. The workers bug the crap out of you by constantly trying to sell show tickets. Last but not least, Narek, the hotel desk worker who checked me out, was either having a bad morning or he just doesn't like his job, because he was an asshole. One good thing I can say is that the restaurant Tacos & Tequilas had some great food and customer service.

We had reserved and confirmed tickets for the Fantasy show ahead of time. When we arrived at the box office to collect the tickets and see the show, the agent told us there was a mistake and that we would be getting different, lesser quality seats further back in the auditorium, but would still be charged the more expensive price. There was no apology or effort to provide any basic customer service, if we didn't like the deal we could simply get a refund. We were really disappointed with the total lack of customer service, we asked to speak with a manager and they refused to come out, the agent simply went running back and forth with messages. A refund is ok, but when you're only in Vegas for a night or two, this simply blows your plans for the evening.

We booked our stay at the Luxor 6 weeks ago as a package deal (flight/hotel) through American Express. We'd paid for everything weeks in advance. We showed up last Friday at 4pm and stood in the "Check Out" (Check IN... Check ANYTHING??) line for a good 45 minutes before getting to a clerk... who promptly told us their system had no record of our reservation. We were instructed to get out of line and call American Express, because, look around, they were obviously too busy to solve "our" problem. We didn't budge, and instead asked why THEY couldn't call AMEX on our behalf (my wife simultaneously called AMEX, who verified all our information)... we were then told that we could leave, or they could charge us $259 for that night. Ultimately, an hour later, after I mentioned I was ready to rip someones throat out, they gave us a room key and only charged us the $15 resort fee. They promised they would get it straightened out the following morning... long story short, they didn't. We discovered we'd been locked out of our room the following day, and needed to spend another hour at the checkin/out desk on Saturday afternoon. The desk help said repeatedly that it wasn't their fault, or their system problem, and that we shouldn't have used a third party to book our trip (WTF???). The management was cavalier, uncaring, and totally lacking in basic aspects of customer service. I mentioned to the manager that we'd spent over 2 hours at the desk within the past 24. He said he'd comp us the resort fee for the next two nights and acted as if we were supposed to be grateful. Apparently a $30 comp equates to 4 man hours in his world. If I have anything to say about it, nobody I know will ever stay at the Luxor again. The fact the whole place was dirty and in disrepair, and the buffet sucked, is beside the point. Nobody there appeared to enjoy their job. In an effort to say something nice, our housekeeper Irene was the only conscientious staff member we met in four days.

I just stayed at the Luxor and I will not be returning. When I checked in, they told me the only rooms they had left were on the 5th floor. I was fine with that until later that night. My hotel room was backed up to the LAX nightclub that is located right inside the Luxor. You hear the music like you are there in the club. You can feel the base of the music as well. I had to put the TV on to help drown out the music and which the TV didn't get turned off until after 4am when the music was over with. As you can tell, no sleep was taken it. I will not be coming back to this hotel again.
