The Dockside Inn motto is "We are going to spoil you" and they do. The gingerbread-style inn, built in the 1800s, is equipped with modern amenities and an accommodating staff. Each room, with charming Victorian decor, has a full bath. A major attraction is the remarkable view of the harbor from the front porch. The inn is within walking distance of beaches, shopping and nightlife. A sister property, the Oak House bed & breakfast, is also in Oak Bluffs. Rates vary with the season. Children are welcome.

Great and Cozy

My girlfriends and I went for a week getaway ... it was so perfect, quaint and relaxing. The service was great and it is in a prime location. Even now, my friends look at our time there for that week as one of the best (and relaxing) vacations ever! There are alot of stairs so if that is a problem, you may want to inquire about adaptations/accomodations beforehand. It is not luxurious ... but relaxing, quaint and friendly service.

Great inn for families

Many of the inns and bed and breakfasts on Martha's Vineyard do not accomadate families with children under the age of 12. I am happy that the Dockside Inn is not one of those inns. My family and I had a wonderful two night,child friendly stay in one of the efficiency suites. The rooms are very clean and beautifully decorated and the staff provides service with a smile. I have already recommended the Dockside Inn to several members of my family.

Every year is something new!

2005 was our 10th year in a row coming to the Dockside. We come in August now to enjoy Illumination Night, the Community Sing, the Agricultural Fair and the fireworks. The Inn is extremely well kept up and we look forward to a new surprise each time we arrive. The rooms are immaculately clean, cozy, well air conditioned and quiet. Take the ferry from Woods Hole into Oak Bluffs, you won't need your car. The Dockside is a 2 minute walk from the terminal. Parking is at a premium anywhere on the island. Public transportation is close by, plentiful, inexpensive, safe and frequent. Mark and Faith are the best! We can't wait to go back next year.
