Americas Best Value Inn, Anaheim

I am not kidding, it really was the worst hotel ever. We had a free night's stay there, which was the only reason we stayed. We were very close to paying for another hotel though. We stayed out as late as possible and left as early as possible, but our 8 hours there were terrible. The worst part: the room was NOT CLEAN. The entire bathroom and sink area reeked of URINE. All of the furniture was worn and dirty. We didn't even want to sleep on the bed. The piilows literally felt like bags of softballs. It was also VERY NOISY. We could hear everything from the parking lot and our neighbors' rooms. Don't stay there. There are better places for that price.

Before I booked reservations for this hotel, I looked at the pictures online & read a couple reviews. I thought the pictures were taken from the best view possible & the reviews I read must have been written by people who had extremely low standards because they both said that it was a good value and that they had good experiences. But when I pulled up to the hotel I was horrified. I thought it was in a very bad area. I was afraid my car would get broken into. I was even afraid to go out to my car by myself at night when I realized I had forgotten something in the car. The room was so horribly dirty that we had to go buy disinfecting wipes and wipe everything down. We could see yucky goo on the tables and doors. Even found a bug crawling on my bed. Couldn't sleep for fear of bugs crawling on me. Also thought bed was very uncomfortable. Awful experience. Would never stay here again. Would possibly recommend the Holiday Inn which isn't too far. It looked much nicer and cleaner, at least from the outside.

We stayed 2 nights and the facilities were clean and very standard. Only downside was noisy people in the parking lot after 10pm. For the price, this is a good place to stay if you are looking for a room to sleep in while you have fun elsewhere.
