The Thomas Bond House, built in approximately 1769, contains 12 rooms furnished in a late 18th century motif. Located on 2nd Street, various shopping, cultural and nightlife destinations are easily accessible. The National Park Service owns this rustic inn and it's on the National Register of Historic Places. Modern conveniences such as private baths, TVs and telephones in the rooms do not dampen the colonial charm. Two rooms have working fireplaces and three even have whirlpool baths. Adequate
By Donell, 03/16/07
The best thing about this B&B is the location. It is near all of Philly's historical attractions and within the heart of the city's nightlife. However, there are many detractions... A parking garage is next to the house so be prepared to be awaken on the weekend by the sound of honking horns and loud talking people after the restaurants and clubs close. The rooms are "colonial quaint” otherwise known as small. There service is fine and were very friendly. Don’t expect a luxurious setting, rather think of it as your colonial grandparents house that could use a good cleaning and refurbishment.

This charming historic B&B was outstanding -- a must stay! Enjoyed the visit and would highly recommend it to everyone! The price is right too.
