Wintergreen Resort, Wisconsin Dells

We planned a fun family vacation to this hotel and we were not pleased with the overall help and service of the staff. The hotel advertised that they had an outdoor dry play park and a game room. When we arrived, the outdoor play area was closed due to a rotting floor on the ships deck. The game room was non-exsistant though the web-site shows a neat game room with a prize redemption center. Staff had not much to say about it and seemed to have not much concern about matters. Overall, for the price of 159.00 per night, we felt that the service was poor. Our room was clean but it was very small to sleep 6. It offered two full size beds and a sleeper sofa all very close and next to eachother. Tight living conditions for any family. The bathroom was tiny and the room only had one small waste basket in the main room and none in the bathroom. They have a sister hotel called Carousel and offer guests the chance to use eachothers pools. I did not like this because it caused higher traffic and it was much more difficult to enjoy the pool area when watching small kids. The pools were nice and the kids enjoyed them but we felt ripped off and that for the price we paid, the service and staff help was poor. I asked for an extra set of sheets and more pillows and was actually told that they limited the room to 6 pillows!!!! Frugal if you ask me, for a hotel that claims to specialize in comfort. Several times we had to ask them to turn on the water slides during operation hours. We were kept waiting quite often for little things like this. Also, the bar and grill was attached to the pool area and I did not care for the drinking and beer that was brought into the pool area around my small children.
