Sun Palace Couples Only All-Inclusive, Cancun

I have been to almost all of the Palace Resorts and they are all incredible. The food is delicious, the spas are incredible, the staff treat you so respectfully and are so personable. The rooms are immaculate. There is nothing the staff will not go out of their way to do for you. This year we are going to be staying at Playacar Palace and Sun Palace. Every time we go we stay longer. As for the people who are complaining I just think that some people can never be pleased.

First of all let me state the bad things which there were two. The first after we got past the airport time share Hounds we went to the front desk to check in. The guy at the front desk instructed us to go over the other side of the lobby to get information on our stay. After sitting there for 1/2 hour listening to this lady offering me things for nothing I spoke up and asked if this was a time share (aka club share) for which she said, no. We just had to meet the next morning for breakfast to receive our free gifts. Well I finally received the real reason from our transportation guide(Olympus) that yes it was to sell time shares.Needless to say I wasn't happy that our own hotel tried to trick us like the airport hounds.So with that being said, unless you want a time share don't waste your vacation time. The only other issue was the room's shower. The hot and cold will not regulate well. Even with those's two things the hotel was wonderful,clean,friendly and easy to get around. We received room service A-1 food was good and hot. The staff went out of their way to help. The bus service there is 24 hours and they come by every 15 minutes. It only cost 1 dollar to go downtown. The beach is very nice. The pool somewhat small with a rough bottom so bring your water shoes after 2 days you'll need them. I will return to Cancun in the future and the Sun Palace will be on my list of options.

The Westin Resort and Spa Cancun is beautiful, all the staff are very polite and helpful, they're there to please you! The sand, the sun, the beach & the sky are amazing. We'll definetely be back soon, I recommend this hotel to everyone that wants to enjoy some days of happines. Be good to yourself, go and enjoy it! Mrs. Maya

It's at the end of the hotel strip which is a pro and a con. The surf was heavier here and the bus ride to town was longer but it was also more remote and beautiful. The food at the hotel was so-so and I think that is because there are so many options in town.

This hotel was FANTASTIC! This all inclusive say with the Sun Palace was our 3rd visit to Cancun and the best so far. I recommend this facility for those who want to relax and stay more to themselves. It was fairly quite during our stay and there were no loud party venues on the property. There were places to interact with other couples during the evening and activities were ongoing during the day at the pool. Those who intend to stay for an extended period of time should probably consider visiting the sister properties, the Moon Palace and Cancun Palace, since your all inclusive bracelet will allow you access to them. HOTEL: We found the hotel to be extremely clean and well maintained. Our room had a double Jacuzzi and most appeared to have a private balcony. There were a couple of pools (not very large) but adequate for swimming/lounging. There were chairs and umbrellas on the beach as well. We made use of their high-end exercise room (completed with personal trainer) and their wireless internet service. We never got a chance to use the spa. STAFF: The hotel staff was exceptional (waiters/waitresses, hosts/hostesses, front desk, maintenance/cleaning, entertainers, activities coordinators, managers, fitness trainer�) They worked really hard to ensure everything about our stay was perfect. FOOD: There were only three �official� sit-down type restaurants on the property and all had live entertainment. Smaller lounges were scattered about indoors and out for snacking between meals and 24/7 room service was available. All food except the breakfast buffet was prepared to order and everything tasted great. We�re not big drinkers so we can�t comment on the quality of the alcoholic beverages but the quantity was plentiful. Overall, we had a great time and I would strongly recommend this facility to couples without children.

the food was ok for the buffet. I would just eat out other places though if i had the choice. The bar had smalllll drinks...The only think that came in a large mug was the dos xx. so i just had alot of those. Did the trick for me.

I thought it was a wonderful hotel. The food and service was excellent. The beach was gorgeous. The room was incredibly nice. The staff was always friendly and ready to serve any needs, and they kept the room always clean and even made fun animals out of the towels! It was a great experience, and I would consider going back.

Beautiful surroundings, friendly and family oriented. We hope and pray that the Sun Palace will re-open in time for our next Cancun Vacation! The food was excellent! We had no reason to go outside the resort, except to shop and sight-see. We needed to utilize the services of the resort physician (my daughter had a bad reaction to a jelly fish sting) and we were very impressed with the over-all experience. Thank you all so much! It was a wonderful vacation.

I've been to Cancun twice and both times stayed at the Sun Palace. I was a WONDERFUL time. The rooms were clean and the serivce and food were great. I recommed the Sun Palace to all my friends and brag on the great times I've had there and most of all am looking forward to more good times!

I like everything overall rooms were clean,people were very nice.service was excellent,beaches was clean water beatiful,location was great walking distance to a lot of other hotels which is worth looking at.
