Disapointing.if I could rate it a zero I would

I have never left a review for a hotel before but this I hope this helps someone looking to stay in this area avoid the disappointment we had. We just got home from this place yesterday. After deciding to stop in the Falls area on our way home from Cooperstown we checked into this hotel. This last minute stop means we didnt have a chance to check the reviews first--huge mistake! Being the fourth of July weekend we paid holiday pricing (which is doube the $79 rate!)--we paid less than this to stay in the polynesian in the dells during peak season. But whatever we chose to take the room. I don't know where to begin-there is no elevator, the halls and floors were absolutely disgusting and when we walked into our room the alarm clock was blasting and the window was wide open-without a screen. (safety hazard?) I did check for bed bugs and did not see any and the sheets did appear to be clean but it still made me nervous. There was no place to get water other than the bathroom sink, and the pool was disgusting, with a layer of slime on the walls of the pool. The floors in the pool room were covered in muddy wet prints, towels lying everywhere--and although the hotel advertises a heated pool, the only thing heated is the room--pool was freezing! We asked when checking in if we could pay cash and were told yes, but we couldnt have a receipt until we checked out? Upon checking out we noticed we had been charged a "fee" for paying incash??!! ---Which was never disclosed to us when we checked in. I have never been so disappointed in my life. I am not overly picky and did not expect this to be a HIlton, but cleanliness is key when staying away from home and this place fell far from minimal expectations. I do not recommend this hotel to anyone staying in the falls area.

Staff is so unfriendly!!

The room was Okay,average at best. The halls are dark & very dim lighting. I was walking up to my room on the 2nd floor & fell because of the low lighting & the WET steps from the pool. Called the front office & told them what had happened & just wanted my money back so I could find another Hotel.The girl at the front desk was VERY RUDE & was going to charge me for going into the room! I told her no she isn't, she hung up on me! I went to the desk and demanded my money back, she wouldn't even look at me. I gave her the room keys (cards) back and she gave me my money back. Very rude! would not recommend nor stay there again!

LOVED the place

My husband and I have stayed here several times. Have stayed at other local hotels and this one meets our standards. My husband pre-viewed the room before committing to it and was impressed (he was housekeeping management and I was Front desk management). Rooms clean, everything where it should be and staff very helpful. We are planning to stay again this holiday season. Thanks to you all:)

We were very pleased with our week long stay at this Quality Inn while visiting family in the area. The location was perfect for us and close to shopping, restaurants and only 15 minutes to the Falls. I would highly recommend it to others. The staff from housecleaning, front desk all the way to top management/owners were very friendly and went above and beyond to immediately accommodate our requests. Our room was throughly cleaned daily. We were there a whole week and never had one problem. It was a bargain for the money. I will admit I did have some doubts at first after reading the reviews, but went ahead and decided to give it a try. I'm glad I did. I absoluely can not believe the negative reviews about the staff and service. To bad the staff can't leave reviews about some of their guests. If you are nice to people, they are nice back to you. I have traveled the world and stayed in many hotels and found this to be very acceptable for the price. If you want $300 a night service, then I would recommend you pay that price and stay at a 5 star hotel.

Angry Disrepectful Hotel Owner

I checked in to the Quality Inn (Room #256), located at 7708 Niagara Falls Boulevard, Niagara Falls, NY 14304 on Friday the 24th of July. I had confirmation ***** and on the night I called I was told my rate would be $79.99. I asked if I could have an email confirmation sent to me and the female on the other end told me that the hotel does not do that. When I checked in I asked why the rate was $89.99 and she told me that’s the best rate they can do. I told her I was quoted $79.99 on the phone and have the confirmation number. She told me that was the best they can do. I should have left at that moment. The carpet in the room was utterly disgusting. The entire room was just disgusting I’ve slept in cleaner places in Iraq. When I was driving to the front to check out, a vehicle backed out right in front of me without any hesitation and almost hit my vehicle with my wife and 2 daughters inside. I slammed on the brakes and looked at the male driver with a look on my face “what are you doing, what’s your problem.” I sat there for a minute and the driver started to drive away, I kept looking at him with a look on my face, “are you even going to apologize.” He rolled his window down and yelled, “what!” I yelled back, I’m a police officer and you need to watch how you drive and by the way get rid of your attitude problem.” He stepped out of his vehicle like he wanted to fight me and I stepped out of the vehicle to speak with him. I told him I just wanted an apology and he told me that he was the owner and would evict my ass from his Hotel. He spoke with an accent and I asked him what country he came from, because I was going to ask him if people in the country of his origin always yell at their customers. He yelled at me and asked what country are you from. I was mad at this point and the man / manager waited for me inside of the hotel lobby, he told me that I should not be a Police Officer. I told him he should not own an establishment and was creating a breach of peace. If I owned a business I would never yell at my customers even if I thought I was right. I would never stay in this hotel again even if it was free.

Started off on a bad note!

We asked to see the room before we committed ourselves to it. The room was on the first floor and it appeared to be average. After getting back from some shopping and just hanging out in the room, my husband yells "there is a mouse in here!!" Well I am petrified of mice so I stood on the bed and screamed! It scooted under the bed while my husband told the front desk. They moved us upstairs but let me tell you that I would have rather slept in the car that night. Gross! The next room we got; well the heat didn't work! Overall, not a great experience.

We made reservations here to attend family weekend at Niagara University. I was nervous after reading so many poor reviews but was extremely surprised. We had excellent service from the front desk and the cleaning staff. Our room was clean and the location of the motel is fantastic! We were close to campus and shopping which is what we wanted. We have stayed at other hotels fo Niagara University visits and we will return to this one from now on.

Horrible experience

There was no elevator. Only one handicap parking spot in front of the restaurant to the left of the motel entrance. The nerve to call it a Quality Inn. The young "kids" fronting the desk were very unprofessional. We did not stay there. We immediately called our credit card company and was informed that there would be no problem. When I received my bill today it showed that I was charged for one night. As one of the reviewers said earlier, " I would not stay there if it were free." As others have said, "I should have gone into the web site myself." It was truly horrible.

Horrible service

Worst customer service experience I have ever had from a hotel. The staff was very rude. Wouldn't stay again if it was free!!!
