Pretty Awesome,
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 8/16/09
This was a great room for like 90 bucks. The room had two beds and a full sized kitchen. PLENTY OF SPACE, enough to run a marathon through there. The staff was awesome, very accommodating. The shuttle service got me from the airport within 5 minutes of calling the hotel. The maids clean the room so good you could eat off the floor. The people at the front desk were very friendly, especially Ann. She was awesome. Overall, two thumbs up!

Don't judge a book by it's cover!
By ryant, 8/4/09
I drove to Anchorage from the Peninsula, my wife and kids were flying in around 11 pm, I thought I was going to just drive back that night, well by the time I got to Anchorage, I only had an hr before they arrived, and I was tired, so I started looking for a hotel. I couldn't believe it, I drove everywhere, all the hotels with vacancy wanted 2-3 hundred a night. I couldn't believe it, I just needed a place for us to rest. I didn't bother looking downtown, from experience it's hard to find a place to eat down there. When you have kids, you need something close. So, I took Spenard, and saw Exec. Suites right next to McD's and across from village inn and wendy's. That's the location I needed. But, it didn't look like much from outside, so I looked at all the other hotels in that area, and same story, no vacancies or over priced. So, I went back to Exec. Suites cause the sign said vacancies, and it had a price on there sign of 67.00 a night. So, that made me worry too. I went in anyway, the counter staff was a little stand offish, but I asked about the rooms anyway. I told them I wanted to see a couple before I decide. The lady didn't like that, but gave in to my request anyway. So, a guy came in and took me to the back part of the hotel, and showed me two different kinds of rooms, one with a futon in the living room area, another with a queen bed in the living area. I chose the room with the two queen beds, and honestly, I was happy, the rooms were clean, they smelled good, they had a full kitchen, walk in closet, large master bedroom, box fan, and a large bathroom. It ended up costing me about 80.00 I was happy, with the room, my wife and kids were happy, and it was comfortable. The only thing was it does not offer in room movies which, with kids it's easier to entertain when they offer movies, but...it was perfect for what we needed.

By Jason B, 2/21/07
I really enjoyed my stay there for the most part it was quiet. i did feel i inconvienieced them a lil but i was new to the area. the hotel Manager seemed to be the nicest of them all the rest just seememd like they didnt care. everyone there works hard at making u feel comfortable except for the front desk they seemed a lil annoyed with long term guests.

Never again
By Jason, 2/7/07
This place has to be the worst hotel ever. The service is terrible, the workers are rude at all times. I called before i went to confirm shuttle service and got told it was still running and would be running when i would arrive into town so i call to be picked up when i arrive in anchorage and they shut their shuttle service down already for the season!!! Where oh where was this hot tub cause I never saw it.

Read the reviews
By Chana, 8/6/06
We should have been more careful reading others reviews before we chose. The hotel was too far from the city. Old Big room that smelled bad. At least it was not too hot so we did not have to use the air condition that was not there. Choose it only if you have one night and you want to get out in a hurry, for it is indeed close to the airport. It was surprisingly full, so may be others found it to their needs. Free internet, breakfast in plastic plates

Dangerous and dirty
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 4/22/06
The door to my room was wid open whe i reurn from a day of business in Kenai at 11:45 PM. I called the front desk and they said they would send someone up to check for intruders and stolen items - they never showed up! The room was partially cleaned, but not finished, so it seems obvious the houskeeping crew left the door open and left it without finishing the cleaning. Do not stay at this hotel! It is dangerous and dirty. Spend $10 more a night and stay in a reputable hotel. I now I will from now on.

Not recommended
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 1/14/06
Overall the prices for rooms in Anchorage were way too high. This place seemed mid-priced, so we were optimistic, but not expecting any extras. The room was disappointing; the room showed lots of wear, the bed mattress was lumpy and very uncomfortable, and it was very warm ( no cross ventilation, no AC ). The bathroom was also very dated with a low water pressure shower and a noisy toilet. Front desk service was OK, neutral rather than pleasant though. I would certainly look elsewhere for a room if you can afford the extra$.
