Shangri-La??s Rasa Sentosa Resort & Spa, Sentosa

Sentosa Island and the Shangri-La Rasa Sentosa Resort was my preview to the elegance and fascination of Singapore. We loved our stay there! The room was very peaceful and neat. I loved the bath/ shower combo and the whole set up was very beautiful. The balcony is spacious and one morning there were even monkeys climbing on them!! The breakfast buffet was like none I have ever seen in the states. The food was endless and full of international variety. We loved the beach and the hotel staff were very courteous and helpful. Honestly, it was an experience I will never forget and I HIGHLY recommend this. If you are looking for relaxation, a world away, elegance, comfort and a feast for your eyes... This is it.

I liked the whole resort of Sentosa. The free monorail was brilliant and made it simple to see the whole island. The laser show was the best I have ever seen and it was free.The beach is great especially further down and there is plenty of space and lots of sand. The scenery is idyllic. Everything is clean and efficient and the hotel staff are friendly and helpful. Our room was smallish but nice and looked out onto a huge walkalong balcony shared by several rooms, although open to anyone. It was usually deserted and the views were stunning.

Just absolutely beautiful. Very classy,amazing,astonishing and excellent!!!! I loved it and would come back again.

The worst hotel ever, the people there are @#$%ers!!! I mean the servise is horrible! A hobo could cook better food than their master chefs! The beds were lumpy and hard. These waves kept forming under me like it was water!! a water bed! Come on!

It was absolutely awesome! It was just what we needed after all the other travelling we did. The service,location etc. was great!

Even though many people here hates the resort, I should say it is the best resort I have been so far over the world. I feel really cosy to be in such a wonderful place. I hope that this resort is cheaper though. I don't think the people in Singapore are showoffs either. They are kind and helper if I cannot find my way to the bustling city.

The ShangriLa has well furnished & spacious room. The room has cable TV, minibar and electronic safe. Those roomshave balconies face the beach, great view to catch the sun rise or sun set with loves ones. The bathroom consists of separate shower (bathtub & overhead shower type). Plus points - They have comfy pillows & beds! The hotel facility also has swimming pool, arcade and spa facilities! (World-renowned spa I heard)

The hotel restaurant is pricey, and there's limited eating places around the hotel vicinity which might force one to eat overpriced hotel food and miss out on the flavors of Singapore.

Location of hotel: Sentosa is not IN singapore but a very short distance off the southern coast of Singapore. You can literally walkover. You need a break from Singapore, head over to the closest island of Sentosa. Bintan or Batam are about 30 mins boatride away. Abt 30 mins - 45 mins from the airport depending from the mode of transport (train, taxi or coach). Less than 5 mins away from the Siloso beach. Less than 30 mins away from the city center (Orhard Rd). Hotel provides coach to the city center. Bus services and Monorail train take you to places within Sentosa conveniently & they are free of charge!

Definitely the best and most expensive hotel on Sentosa Island.

The beach in reality doesn't match the photo. It's hardly natural, anything but white, and you're more likely to be hit by a volleyball than find any peace and rest. Pretty much a place to "show-off" for locals with too much money (and their maids and kids etc).

Maybe I stayed in an older part of the hotel but my room stank of mold & mildew enough to impact an otherwise enjoyable location & service.
