Days Inn Cedar Point South Turnpike, Milan

I showed up on the july 4th weekend. But it starts off bad. They try to tell me we did not book a room till we showed proof. Then The rooms were dirty. We had to get two rooms because I had a 6 kids. Well we had bugs crawling over my clothes and floor. I asked for a extra bed. It clear as days says $5 a day on the front desk. They asked for more. Then they said even if we got it they didn't have blankets or extra sheets. We were on the bottem floor and it was on the top and he would not want to bring it down. We had two rooms. One was on top floor and one lower. They made no attempts to get them on the same floor. The only thing I did like was the pool. It was clean. Though that don't help the people there were mean. I called the night before check out and asked for and extra hour. Said it would be ok. Well as we were finishing packing the last room the manager came to the room and without knocking she came in. She heard the kids in the room. I was changing my daughter and she walked in and yelled at us. Tried to tell us she was going to charge me more money because we didn't leave and I had to many kids in the room. We checked out the other room and for first time all kids in one room. She said she gonna charge for that. I said no! Then she tried to say my kids were screaming all days and we were bad. Except we were at the park and gone from before 12 and didnt get back till after midnight each night. No cable. Nothing for kids. Nothing. Not worth going. There was other places open and this place was trying to charge more money. That is the hole deal with them saying we didnt have a room. You go here beware.

Stay Away ! Floors were dirty and stained. Beds were not made neatly and sheets came off mattress. Mold & mildew on shower curtain. Put empty tissue box in waste can, housekeeping didn't leave a full box and also they threw away the soap we were using and left none. I'm glad I took my lysol along the room needed a good cleaning. The only 2 good things about the motel was it was close to the turnpike and they did have coffee made every morning.

I found this hotel to be a jewel. The staff was wonderful and friendly and helped me with whatever I needed. The room was clean and I found the hotel to be clean and in good shape as well. Yes, the location is next to train tracks, but the experience over rode that fact. The staff was also accomodating with all my reasonable requests (extra towels, a slightly later checkout). I'm planning a family vacation next year and cannot wait to go back there.
