IF AMERICAN DONT STAY THERE!!!
By ,
it was a horrible experience everything there is american /japanesse, the receptionist hardly understood what i was tryng to tell her because i did not speak japenesse., room service is not all day theres only certain times available wich was frustrating, the menu was catered to both american and japanesse food it was limited to what was offered our food tasted ok, my fires were cold.... I would not dine there again. The beds wich of all was most disgusting had small hair at first i was not sure if mine but when pulled the sheets and found hair in areas i had not laid on yet was awful, the room looked clean not as nice as in picture but seemed clean on the outside just make sure you check your sheets i will never stay there again......

It was a nice place at one time!
By ,
I had to stay here as part of a convention and was disappointed to find that they charge you for everything. Your car will be valet parked whether you want it to be or not ($16.00 per day). I was charged $1.00 for each of the two phone calls I made to the front desk. I had to haggle to make it go away. Internet is $10.00 a day. No eating establishments within a 1/4 of a mile. Your only alternative is to eat at the hotel which is way overpriced (Evian bottled water $4.00). The room appeared nice, but the bed linens were filthy - whatever you do, don't hold them up to the light, you'll be disgusted. When you are paying $150.00 per night you should expect better.

Good hotel, but not worth the cost
By ,
We stayed at the Omni over a weekend in LA, and were not impressed with the quality especially given how much the rooms cost. The room was clean and well kept, but we were expecting some more bells and whistles. Valet parking was expensive and it always took at least 5 minutes for the attendant to get our car. There are probably better hotels to stay in downtown LA.

Confused by other reviews
By ,
I;ve stayed here quite a bit before I moved to LA because for the money (CHEAP!!!! at about 160-180 a night) this is a great place. True, you won't get pampered as much as you would at a westside location (for about 400 or 500 a night) but you get a LOT for what you pay for. Many people have complained about the lack of restaurants within walking distance. This is not true! Across the street there is a California Pizza Kitchen, another sit down restaurant (forgot its name), a Quizno's, and about 3 or 4 other restaurants in the Wells Fargo Plaza. The CPK and McDonalds are open pretty late (well after the business crowd has gone). There are also the restaurants and convenience store in the California Water Plaza, the restaurant in MOCA, and the restaurant in Walt Disney Hall. Walk down the hill (about a 2 minute walk, so definitely within walking distance) and there is La Salsa, Carls Jr., Mendocino Farms, Subway, and 3 malls with food courts. There are about 100 restaurants within walking distance. You guys probably were on Olive? You should turn around and go out onto Grand. Food, food, food, bars, and then some more food. I guess the concierege didn't bother to tell you. Or you didn't ask (more likely).

Don't waste your money
By ,
Our firm booked several suites in this hotel months in advance of our stay. Reservations and requests were re-confirmed many times prior to our stay, yet absolutely nothing was done as requested. Requested a non-smoking room, got a smoking room, requested a dedicated phone line, no phone line, requested dsl for business purposes none was provided, elevators didn't work, room keys didn't work, rooms and halls were duty and to add to it all a very rude manager named Mary refused to help. Our firm dropped six figures there and we won't be back. We will just stay down the road. Maybe they will value our business.
