29 reviews for Sheraton Lincoln Harbor Hotel, Weehawken
will be staying there everytime
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 11/09/09
This is the best place to be if you want calmness and great service. On the weekend the shuttle brings you to the waterway and you can catch the ferry to manhattan in 15 minutes and it's a great view. Also the ease of driving and parking your car for free is a huge plus!!! Renovations that are scheduled to be done, look even better. Hope the rates don't go up to much. Highly reccomended for anyone, inlcuding people with kids. loved it.

Stay somewhere else!!!!!!!! Seriously!
By Chad, 09/28/09
I am writing this review from my hotel room at 3am. Room isn't exactly clean....doesn't appear to have been dusted for quite some time. More importantly, the bed is simply gross. There is no fitted sheet on the bed. Instead a flat sheet was used and not even tucked under the matress, thus matress is visable if you decide to move an inch when you sleep....nasty! I have never experienced such a thing! Pillows are "down" but flat as they are thin from being overly used. Blanket on bed doesn't appear to have been washed for some time and looks like it is from 1978....dingy and really used. The t.v. is a brand I have never heard of and the sound is muffled as you would expect from a low quality television. The sound is terrible and volume level differs from channel to channel. The bathroom had no washcloths and no bathmat...we had to call front desk to get them. When they were delivered we received 2 regular towels and no washcloths. The English of the staff is poor, so I assume they didn't understand the simple request. I will never stay here again, nor will I recommend this hotel to anyone! I had a better stay at a Motel 6........no joke.

Better than expected!
By Amy, 05/04/09
We looked high and low for a hotel that could meet our criteria. We are a family of 6 and did not want to rent two rooms. We needed parking for a large SUV, and the kids wanted a pool. This hotel had it all! We were a bit nervous as we read some bad reviews, but after staying here I can honestly say this was a GREAT hotel. Large and clean. Great staff. Our room had a great view of the city. Two double beds, a pull out couch and a chair. The hotel provided a crib when we realized we forgot our porta crib. The bathroom was clean and had a full sized tub. Our room had a fridge, microwave and cabinets for food. It was VERY easy to get into the city via ferry or bus, both of which leave from right outside the hotel. We had a GREAT experience staying here and would highly recommend it!

Substandard hotel rooms, rip off .
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 12/13/08
Our Company made reservations for a group of people on business to New York. We are preferred guests of Starwood Hotels , of which Sheraton Hotels belong. Sheraton was the Hotel of choice based on previouis experiences . The group arrived form California close to midnight. Rooms smelled , bugs were all over and the dirty carpet. The Hotel acknwoledged the smell and bugs were inevitable because the Hotel is near water. Even if we would upgrade, the situation would remain the same. The group immediately left the premises and went to another Hotel where they finally settled around 3 am after a whole day of travel The Hotel manager, along with David Chu , general manager , refused to refund the money because we did not cancel in 24 hours(!!!) and because they could not find the bugs after the group left... What a joke! We are reporting them to the AAA and to the Corporate. They ripp off people.

Large rooms, Great view of the city, Easy to get across the river
By Mike G., 02/21/08
I recently stayed here as I had to work 2 days in Jersey City and 2 in Midtown. I had a room facing the city. It was a pretty amazing view you never get when at a hotel inside the city. The room was huge, by area standards. It had a living area/couch/chair, large desk, kitchenette w/ fridge, and decent closet space. It was clean and modern... Jersey City is a 10 minute cab ride (there are busses, and light rail around, too, but I did not try them). Midtown is amazingly quick to get to...Right outside the hotel's door is the watertaxi/ferry service. For $5 or so, it takes about 5 minutes (running every 15) to get across to 39th street, where there are free buses that pretty much take you anywhere city buses run. Very easy and less crowded than the path trains.. There is a good selection of restaurants within walking distance, too. Try the Chart House for awesome good and a great view of the city...

Fantastic Views!!!
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 11/24/07
We were advised by our travel agent to stay in this hotel becasue of the amazing views from the New Jersey side of the Hudson river. The view from our room was of Downtown Manhattan and was a lovely start to the holiday. It wasn't at all difficult to get across to Manhattan, the ferry leaves from right outside the hotel and there are free buses from the ferry port at Pier 79 into midtown Manhattan. The hotal staff were friendly and helpful, they gave us advice about the ferries and travelling into Manhattan. As we wanted to go for the Thanksgiving parade the staff advised us on how to get there as the local ferry didn't run on a Holiday. There was a free shuttle bus from the hotel to the main ferry port at Port Imperial too. I loved every minute of this trip and I'd definitely choose to stay here again.
