Howard Johnson Express Inn, Niagara Falls

The rooms are dirty,stinky.No proper lights.Overpriced and horrible.

I visited the HoJo Express Inn on 8100 Lundys Lane for the family day weekend and will NEVER visit again!! First, they did not honour my online booking that states every room has a hot tub (there are only two rooms); they put us into another room with a King bed that was absolutely filthy!! Second; the night manager charged my credit card for a pet charge for two nights, and I didn't even have a pet!!!!! The Manager I spoke with, NEIL, did not represent anything the HOJO companies say they stand by. Not only was he rude and arrogant, but he was clearly incompotent!! Head office was not any better. To top it all off, I noticed red rash marks on my arms and legs the day I left (BedBugs??). I advise anyone looking to spend a relaxing weekend with your family to look elsewhere for accomodations because the HOJO is NOT the place to stay!!!!! Please beware!!!

The quality of the rooms was poor. I switched rooms 3 times due to the smell. I reserved a non-smoking room and with the exception of the 3rd room, they all smelled. One like wet dog. I am serious. After complaining the staff was helpful and moved me to a room which I was able to tolerate. For the price I expected more. This is my 1st stay at a Ho Jo's especially this one and possibly my last. I was scared to let my kids place in the room. Maybe my expectations were too high. I'd rather pay extra for a clean room. the location was good and staff friendly. I just can't get over the rooms. I will stick to Hotels or suggestions from friends. the swimming pool advertised was green and dirty just for viewing in disgust. For $260 US dollars for 2 days I expect alot better.

The Inn was not the cleanest place I've ever stayed and the staff was not the most friendly or helpful, but things were clean enough and the staff was quick to offer answers to questions when asked and did help us figure out the best way to get around Niagara Falls. Our air conditioner leaked like crazy and there was a towel under it to absorb some of the water. There was a restaurant at the Inn that offered a free breakfast to guests. That was a nice treat to stop in there and take advantage of that before starting out day. As for getting around, the shuttle stops right in front of the Inn and makes its rounds. The shuttle runs from 9:00 a.m. until 2:00 a.m. (I think those are the times and they vary according to the time of year, too) and takes you right down to the action and to all of the main attractions. Niagara definitely has their transportation figured out! The Inn is on the outskirts, but the action is easy to get to using the shuttle, which is very affordable. I would stay there again.

bad experience from beginning to end. When I booked the room, I was told that it was a full service hotel. I was told that if I was not satisfied, I could easily cancel. The hotel turned out to be a run down motel and they would not allow me to cancel. The front desk processed my credit card while I was on the phone with the head office. I do not recommend this dump.

the price of the room was very reasonable considering other places we looked at. The room was very clean and the service was great. We would definitely stay again.
