Horrible WiFi Hotel does not live up to Hyatt name
I'll start with what I liked. For being 20 minutes from Disneyland, the AAA rate of $107 per night for two doubles and a double sofa bed with a decent thick mattress was a wonderful price. There is a small kitchen area with a full-size refrigerator. Also a regular range for cooking. Breakfast was included in the price. There was plenty of parking and it is free. It is also close to Costco if you are looking for the best price on gasoline. All of that was great. Now for the not so good. We were there for three nights. They never served waffles at breakfast much to my kids disappointment. Biscuits were over-baked for the biscuits and gravy that they offered on one day only. Fruit was not at all naturally sweet. The first day we were there the coffee was pretty bad. There are no pastries. The scrambled eggs and sausage were decent. There was an Asian breakfast offered but I didn't try it. There were the other normal breakfast items offered but nothing outstanding. However, the people working in the breakfast area were very polite. The very worst thing about this hotel is their internet service. The directions for getting online were not very clear and when we finally figured it out, a screen pops up that says there is a limit of 250 people on the internet and to try again later. Got this message multiple times -- even at 3:30 AM. So, if you need internet for work or your kids homework, I would not suggest you stay here. We finally managed to get one laptop on their wi-fi half way through our trip and another laptop on at the very end of our trip. You can always use the hotel computer in the hall, but I never like to use computers in public places when I need to enter a password. Hotel staff were not at all helpful with the internet. This is the worst I've ever experienced. You cannot even use an ethernet cable in your room to get on the internet as it is wi-fi only. Room service was fine the first day we were there, but the second day they did not come to our room and we had a lot of wet towels. We had to get more from the front desk after we got back from Disneyland around midnight. The rooms were reasonably nice but there was a torn place in the carpet in our room. Television reception was pretty bad. You had to wiggle the cable to get a clear picture on one TV and my son said it didn't help to wiggle the cable on the other TV. I don't think the channel selection is very good either. They say they have a small market so you can buy things and not go to the grocery store. That is nonsense. What they have is very limited and they didn't have bottled water -- they were probably out. My husband and daughter thought the hotel water tasted funny. If you need to find the laundry room, you will have to ask because there is no map in your room to tell you where to find it. If you are looking for a comfortable, clean, affordable place to stay not too far from Disneyland, then this is a good choice. If you want a really good breakfast and working internet and TV, don't stay here. This hotel does not live up to the Hyatt name.
