Diamond in the rough
By BrandonJ, 05/14/08
I stayed at this hotel for three nights and at first was a little aprehensive about its location, but the price was good. When I got there I was instantly impressed. The lobby was professional and very clean. I got a free room upgrade which was nice. I'd stay there again.

Good Quality at this Best Western
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 11/09/07
The location was convenient, right off the freeway and close to Discovery Kingdom/Marine World. The area didn't appear to be the best, but we had no trouble. The place was clean and the staff was friendly and helpful. We got the junior suite, which had a microwave and good size mini fridge, as well as a nice sitting area. I highly recommend this upgrade for the extra $10!

Dirty towels
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 07/25/07
The hotel for the most part was pleasent and clean. I do have two complaints in that there was a family gathering at the hotel on the weekend we were there. Children in the room above ours were running back and forth until all hours of the evening. When I called the fron desk my complaint was shuffled off by saying that a family function was taking place therefor, I should understand. Additionaly, when going to the pool on our first day there, I went to the front desk for towels. I was told by the lady at the front desk that the towels were located by the pool in a trash can. When I checked there was a plastic trash can however, it was full of only used towles.

Not for Couples
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 07/22/07
My wife and I stayed here when we couldn't find any hotels in Napa. After a beautiful and romantic day, this was not the place to stay. The location next to Discovery Kingdom means that there are kids running the halls all night long. It was hard to check into the hotel with all of the noise coming from nearby pool. Speaking of pool, there was water in the lobby and elevator tracked in from the pool. For couples and business, I recommend spending a few more bucks for a better hotel at a better location.

A few minor complaints
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 04/12/07
Very strong disinfectant or air freshener smell in room. My room had no towels/wash clothes at all. Upon request I was brought only 3 sets, 1 more would have been nice since there was 4 of us. Each bed had 2 flimsy pillows, when I went to the front desk to request additional pillows and blankets I was told they had no extra. What?? The hotel was full but seeing how it is the second closest hotel to Marine World (Discovery Kingdom) they might want anticipate this and stock extra. Overall not bad for one night and aren't planning on being in the room too much.

Never again!
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 07/17/06
We stayed at this hotel twice for my job. My husband is paralyzed and needs an wheelchair accessible room with a roll-in shower. They had one, which is why we picked the place. My company makes the reservations and pays for the hotel. When we got there the first time (after a very long drive), we had a long wait to check in, and when we got to the head of the line they said they had no record of my company's paying for it and charged it to my husband's credit card. When we got to the room it did not have the roll-in shower. They said they did not have that room available. When we made a fuss, they moved us, to a nice room with a roll-in shower(it was there all along)though with a view of the pool chemical closet (typical for handicapped rooms--we are unwelcome second-class citizens). Then they said they had no wireless internet (which was promised)and charged us for a cable which didn't work. We returned it and they said we'd be credited. The TV remote didn't work and since my husband is bedbound he can't get up and change the channel manually. It took them forever to fix it. My company called the next day to give them the billing info again. They asked 3 times for the manager to call them--but she never did. She was rude to us and to her employees. When all was said and done, they still billed the room to my husband's credit card, and did not credit the internet cable. We are still battling with them and manager still doesn't return calls. We are hoping to find a room with a roll-in shower almost ANYWHERE else!

not what i expected
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 11/17/05
i expected this hotel to be much better than from what i was told ... i was refered by the cvb ... too bad i will never be returning .. the neighborhood is not safe, it is next to a noisy street, there was panhandling when i parked my car at night, the night auditor was sleeping and i had to wait 15 minutes before he let me in.

reasonable and roomy
By Aimee T, 09/26/05
bed was too hard and temperature was hard to adjust. The security was great and hours for pool/spa good. Frige was dirty with old food in it.
