Oakwood Toluca Hills, Los Angeles

I have lived here for 23 years. The setting is excellent, like being in the country. Beautiful grounds. The place is over 30 years old and has ongoing structural maintainence issues; plumbing, water, electrical outages. There is an irritating ongoing noise problem; barking dogs (lots of dogs, rules un-enforced by management). There are usually hundreds of little kids running around loose, unsupervised, doing whatever they feel like doing (rules un-enforced by management). Basically, Oakwood Toluca Hills has become a "dorm" for hundreds of college students here on internship programs and a temporary home for hundreds of young show biz kids and their show biz moms with a "my kid is a future star" attitude. In addition, as a result of overcrowding, parking can often be a HUGE problem. If you are looking for a quiet stay, this is not the place.

I dislike the constant noise, especially after 10 p.m. Security comes and tells noisey individuals to stop it but there is no follow up except an email about how your complaint was handled. I have to call the Police!
