Hotel Ambassador Weber, Capri

I traveled to Capri in September with my husband and stayed at the Ambassador for 5 days and nights. We could not have been happier with the property or the staff. Sabrina was always willing to tend to our every request and her entire staff was extremely pleasant and helpful. Our room was clean and attractive with a beautiful view of the ocean. The breakfast theyserved was better than average and sitting on the patio overlooking the ocean, sipping a glass of red wine was wonderful. The hotel's shuttle service was always there to take us into town and bring us back. Unlike a previous reviewer, we did not find any "hidden " charges when we checked out. This is a property I would definitely return to on future visits.

Great location, great hotel, but when we checked out they charged us additional hidden charges for just about everything. An additional 120 euro about $180 USD for a 2-day stay was added for shuttle services, food services and use of the internet which all appeared to be complementary during our stay. Other than the hidden charges that were dropped on us at checkout, this hotel was great.

My wife and I spent a few days at this luxurios and very fairly priced hotel last summer and we had the most wonderful time. The overall atmosphere is charming and sophisticated. We had a sea front room that was filled with sunshine and blue all day. The view from the main terrace (where breakfast is served) is simply breathtaking. The morning buffet is awesome. I recommend going back to the front terrace around 6 pm to enjoy the sunset as you sip an aperitivo before heading to the Piazzetta for dinner. There is an free all-day shuttle service to all locations on the island. The beach is a literal twenty steps down from the hotel. If you walk to the far right of the beach there is a place where you can rent a nice motor boat (called "gozzo") equipped with parasol and comfy full-length cushions for a mere 30 euro a day. The boat is very easy to drive and you can spend the day away from the crowds looking the magnificient rocky coast.
