Definitely one to keep in mind.
We stayed here for 10 days over the 4th of July and it was a very pleasant experience. The breakfasts were okay; mostly cereal, milk, juice, pastries, and fresh fruit. Coffee machine could use a little help but other than that, it was very nice.
Refrigerators in the rooms made for an inexpensive help to food costs. However, there is a nice selection of restaurants/fast food nearby.
The location is good. Not that far from attractions - we went to Disneyland, CA Adventure, long beach, Medieval Times, etc., and didn't waste time driving. (Universal is a bit of a drive from here.) Easy freeway access.
There is a Walmart just a block away and a couple pharmacies and grocery stores very nearby.
Because of the holiday, the hotel was pretty full but there weren't any problems in the pool or hot tub. The staff was extremely helpful and took care of problems with ease. When the hairdryer broke and they needed to order a new one, they brought us one to use and had the new one in fairly quickly. When the Dry AC stopped working, they moved us to a room where it did work. No questions, just made it extremely easy and nonstressful. The evening manager even offered to help us move our luggage.
The only thing I'd complain about would be the fact that the bathrooms don't have a lot of ventilation and if more than one person showers, you have an instant sauna. ;)
Overall, this is a nice, clean, and comfortable place to stay at an affordable price.
