Great Location, But Run-Down
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 8/20/07
We booked a last-minute trip to Breckenridge, and saw some information about the Wildwood Suites. It was a good value for the money (at least compared to other places in the area). Although we don't regret going there, I doubt we'll return.
On the plus side:
- Condos have a great location that's close to town yet secluded.
- It was extremely nice to sit on our river-side porch and listen to the river....well worth the extra $20 or so.
- The management person at the desk was very friendly, helpful, and nice.
- The hot tub looked great, although we didn't use it.
On the negative side:
- Our condo was bordering on being run-down. It literally appeared as if no improvements other than paint had taken place since its construction in the 80's. Carpet needed replacing. Furniture was worn and tired. Cabinets were beat up and shabby.
- The cleaning job of our unit wasn't great.
- Mattress was poor as others have mentioned.
- Breakfast was the sparsest I've ever seen. At 9:30 AM, they had a few english muffins and a few mini muffins that looked like they were from a convenience store.....that's it.
- Checkout time was strictly at 10AM, yet we didn't see any cleaning service carts.
In summary, it was fine for a last-minute booking, but we'll likely go somewhere else next time.
