10 reviews for Embassy Suites Chicago - Lombard/Oak Brook, Lombard
Lovely week spent here!
By Hey, 10/18/09
I was truly delighted when I opened my door to my room. Spacious, inviting and clean. There was a nice pool and hot tub area, although I did not have a chance to enjoy it. Happy hour with free drinks and snacks, generous breakfast displays with made to order omeletes. Free shuttle within a three mile radius (shopping mall nearby). My week was for business, but I will be back soon for pleasure.

Great Hotel
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 04/14/08
The suites were large and clean The staff were top notch and extremely helpful. Every night from 5-7pm they have the managers welcome at the bar. Appetizers and first drink are free. The hotel restaurant food was also quite good

Needs some Remodeling
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 11/15/07
Atrium is beautiful, but it is loud. Noise from the atrium is easily heard inside the rooms. Breakfast and complimentary happy hour is wonderful. Rooms are dark, and outdated. Carpet, TV's, and wallpaper need to be replaced. The rooms look like 1970's Holiday Inn decor. Great Location, convenient to malls, restaurants, and airports.

Less Than I Expected
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 02/13/07
I don't know if things have changed from other previous reviews (They're fairly old) but I found our stay rather disappointing. The atrium is beautiful but rather noisey. All rooms open to the atrium. This allows a lot of noise into the room. Maybe it was the huge gap at base of door. Room design was nice, but could have been cleaner. Stains on rug on and oldish looking furniture. Food at breakfast was OK, but getting a table was like a free-for-all! Very unorganized. Could have used some management intervention. Questionable that I would return.

Excellence!
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 09/19/05
I enjoyed another tremendous weekend with Embassy Suites! I don't usually write hotel comments, but as I searched for a phone number to call to book an event, I noticed your review page and decided to give my notice of excellence. Well... the food fabulous, the service expedient, the high standard and quality of cleanliness, conveniently located malls and exit off expressway were simply wonderful, the complimentary cooked to order full breakfast was wonderful. I could go on and on... I loved the rooms size, refrigerator, wet bar and microwave, but mostly the face bowel in the bedroom, plently of mirrors throughout the suite and the door that seperated the living from the bedroom. If I could say one thing to enhance your current quality of excellence, it would be to improve upon staff friendliness. I only experienced one encounter were eye contact was meet with a warm smile and a good afternoon. I believe she was in management. The staff seem to be simply going through the motion until there shift was completed. Maybe some employee insentives or bonus. Thank you again for your service of excellence!

My Home Away From Home.
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 04/11/05
I love this place its wonderful, embassy is my home away from home. It has a mall located right across the street, a restaurant located on premises, and some located in walking distance from the hotel. Very friendly service, the lobby is wonderful if you love nature, is a great veiw from your room floor. I even spent my honeymoon here, now I visit aleast once a year.

Serene, Comfortable, Accommidating
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 01/07/05
This is a beautiful atrium hotel. We enjoyed looking down from the balcony at all the lovely plants and hearing the sound of the fountains and river. It was so calming to take a stroll along the pathways, viewing the koi fish. Their complimentary cooked to order breakfast is excellent, as well as their room service. The nightly manager’s reception is a good time to have a drink and unwind after a long day. Discovery Bay is a nice restaurant but it was a little fancier than what we usually go for. The room was excellent. The separate living room with refrigerator, microwave and sink is very convenient. The bedroom has lots of drawers and a second TV. The pool and exercise room were nice but in the morning and evenings (as expected) they are usually busy. They have a bus that takes you to the near by mall which is very nice, since there is no way to walk to it. If this hotel is in the area where you are planning to visit, we highly recommend it.
