Courtyard by Marriott Isla Verde Beach Resort, Cangrejo Arriba

I loved our stay at the Isla Verde Courtyard. The staff was courteous, the entire resort was immaculate and gorgeous! It was close to shopping and exploring all the local places for great food and souvenirs, And just a short drive by taxi to Old San Juan with some of the friendliest drivers and clean cabs! Not even sand on the floor! We had a room facing north with a beautiful beach view, it was quiet and luxurious, everything I could have hoped for and more. My friend and I were treated like VIPs during our entire stay and I've been telling all of my friends that if they get the chance to visit Puerto Rico they must stay at the Courtyard. I especially want to mention our housekeeper Ms. Santana of the 8th floor. She went above and beyond to make sure our stay was as pleasant as possible. She did an impeccable job of making sure our room was as lovely each day as the day we checked in. The day we checked out we hugged like dear friends and I will always remember her as the outstanding part of my stay there.

A little background: There were 4 of us total and we made the reservation on Orbitz for four people. Upon arrival we were told we had to pay 25 extra PER PERSON PER DAY. So 50 dollars a day for the two people that we already paid for. We put a credit card down on the room for incidentals, which we knew. Here is the bulleted list: -We paid with our credit cards for drinks, but they kept randomly charging them to the room. -We paid cash and they still were charging them to our room. -They charged the room $140 dollars randomly that we caught and they apologized and had to take off. -They charged drinks at 3:24am and 3:25am (so double charged the credit card). -The maintenance were hammering into the walls at 9 am and then using an electric saw on our floor to where we had to call down to make them stop. -We would go to management and they were not helpful and very rude. -Upon leaving. The credit card that was put down for charges was randomly charged 103.22 last night and we left there a week ago. Every time we would call the hotel they would send us to voicemail and not listen, and Marriott corporate were not helpful. -The resort tried to blame the bank and say that it was the bank who double charged, but after the bank called them they said it would be fixed tomorrow. So they were lying to us. -We were not the only people who had issues. After talking to other people on the resort they had issues too with random charges. One couple got randomly charged 60 dollars and another couple got charged 224 dollars. -It may be close to the airport but your cab will still be 20 dollars easily. - I have traveled a lot in the Caribbean and to resorts and this is by far the WORST experience I have ever had. DO NOT GO HERE!!!

I simply LOVE this place. I jump on a jet in NYC and in about five hours I am standing on a balcony in my bathing suit ready to go for a swim. The nearness of Puerto Rico and the Courtyard by Marriot makes it possible (with a nice airfare/hotel deal) to take a "what the heck, holiday" for four or five days. I love the casino in the hotel and I am always treated like a VIP. It is nice and cozy and not a humongous betting parlor as in other hotels on the island. Rooms are great, and air traffic noise almost non-existent despite it's proximity to Luis Munos Airport. Restaurant is adequate, nothing to write home about really, but with an averpresent pig roast plus rice and beans and fresh fruits and salads, I am more than satisfied.

I am a Marriott Gold Member and have stayed at numerous properties throughout the nation and have never been treated as well as I was by the staff here at Isla Verde. To top it off, we weren't even paying customers! We stopped at this Courtyard just because it was close to the airport for our flight the next morning. For the stay we used accumulated points that we had. From the very moment we arrived, the staff far exceeded my expectations as for customer services, and I'm a very critical customer (ask Marriott). The facilities from the room to the dining to the beach were absolutely fantatic! Our next stay in Puerto Rico will definately be at this Courtyard at least for a week!

FAMILY VACATION EXCELLENT MUSIC, CASINO, POOLS BAR, BEACH. THERE IS GREAT ATMOSPHERE EVERYDAY. I AM RETURNING IN FEB.2010 W/FAMILY. STAFF IS COURTEOUS EXCELLENT.LITTLE EXPENSIVE WIRTHE EVERY PENNY

room service after 5pm. encountered bad service with hotel restaurant staff extra government taxes paid for hotel room at arrival not sufficient shampoo, towels and other items provided items were stolen at the hotel premises unlimited soda cup for sale caused me a lot of aggrevation when requested a refill beach water very sandy and not clear do not recommend at all very expensive food noisy rooms with airplanes flying just next to the airport every ten minutes not worth the money

Me quede con mi esposa e hijos del 5 al 7 de abril del 2009. Pague diario por estacionamiento 15 dolares.El dia 7 me encuentro que me robaron y vandalizaron mi vehiculo en el estacionamiento del hotel. Me rompieron la cerradura de mi auto, se robaron todo(laptop, cuenta de cheques, libros, etc.). Lo peor de todo es que la gerencia del hotel no me han pagado nada del robo. tampoco me contestan las llamadas. Si no quieres que te roben tu carro en el hotel Marriott Isla Verde Beach Resort, debes dormir en el parking.

THE RESORT WAS VERY CLEAN, SERVICE WAS GREAT AND THERE WAS PLENTY TO DO. AND TO TOP IT IT'S ON THE BEACH AND EASY ACCESS TO OLD SAN JUAN

We knew what we were getting into with the airport noise. But found no problem with it at night nor on the beach. In the pool and balcony it was load sometimes. The staff was very very accomidating and friendly. The rooms were clean and large enough for the two of us. Lively atmosphere in the Picante area. Casino dealers were not as friendly as I've had in the past. Beach, pool, hammacks, cabanas, beautiful weather. All perfect. We went for rest and thats what we got. Ocean front resaurant was superb. Carlos and his staff were excellent. Nancy at the front desk was very helpful and Axel at the outside bar was very freindly as were all the staff inside and out. Can't touch a place like this for this price anywhere in the area.

I loved this hotel, it was a great time!!! We went on out honeymoon, it was directly on the beach, we could go in at any time. I absolutely loved the fact that the pool was open 24/7. We would go in the pool at midnight and the weather would be great. The fact that the airport was right next door didn't bother us at all. They had a nice little cafe/ice cream parlor, the service was great!!!
