Econo Lodge North, Lancaster

Just recently I stayed at this hotel on 10/21/11. Found blood splattering on the sheets could not imagine what was going on, and then saw bugs crawling on the sheets. When I started to kill the bugs the bright red blood was splattering on the sheet. It was very weird, never witnessed anything like it before. As I was heading out of my room to inform the front desk of what was going on, the family staying next door, with young children, were also heading down to complain about the bugs they found in their beds. The man had a Styrofoam cup with one of the bugs inside of it, he showed it to me and it was the same as the bugs I found, he said he googled it and identified it as a bed bug. The front desk was not surprised nor did they deny the fact that they had a bed bug infestation. We all immediately left the hotel. I treated everything on high heat before bringing anything into my house. This took a lot of time and I have developed large red wheals where I was bitten on legs, feet, arms, back, stomach, buttocks. The bites are EXTREMELY ITCHY!! I wake up through the night from the immense itching. I am going to see my Doctor, nothing over the counter is helping and it has been over a week. I would not want to see anyone go through this!! I have pictures of the bugs I found on the sheets in this hotel. I also have pictures of the terrible bites I was left with!! Manager was conveniently not there.Tried numerous times to contact the manager Mike Patel but he will not answer his phone or return calls. Staff and management are very aware of this problem but choose to ignore and blow it off! No one should have to go through this!!

If you love to sleep in beds with BED BUGS this is the place for you... My family and I came here for a nice little family get-a-way and to our surprise the next morning my sister and my 4 year old daughter were covered in Bite marks and we then found bugs crawling on our beds.. When we went to show the staff on duty they didn't act surprised in the least bit. Now my sister and 4 year old have welts on them and they are looking horrible.Not that that wasn't enough but the rooms were nasty and very dirty. Please if you have children go some where else it's not worth the cheap hotel room for these unwanted guests...

been here 5 maybe 10 times every time is a night from hell. kids up down the halls yelling phone keeps ringing kids playing with the phone tvs up to the max . who can sleep is it worth the money hell no. you get what you paid for.my wife dont like paying big bucks. did it to make her happy. but who was unhappy me!!!!!!!!!!! next ill pay ex at a notter place. no more hotel hell for me. thats for sure

We didn't spend the night here. The lobby of the hotel was like a sauna, "high speed" internet was only available in the lobby. We booked a non-smoking room, which was across the hall from a smoking room, our room smelled like stale cigarettes. The last straw was the beds, which felt like a hospital gurney, without the padding. The only "good" thing about this place was the ease of checking out, the girl at the desk was very friendly throughout.

I raised my family in Lancaster County years ago. My oldest son's family still lives here, and every time I visit (which is as often as 3 times/year, I stay at this hotel. I have never been disappointed with anything here--service is always helpful, prompt, and pleasant. It is located in the heart of tourism...and happens that my son's family lives only about 1 1/2 miles from the hotel, so since kids are free (under 18, I think it is), whenever I come, I bring the girls to my room for a sleepover with Grandma and then the boys for another sleepover on a different night...makes for special time with Grandma...and management never charges me extra...makes for wonderfull memories...and a clean place to stay and enjoy all my friends while I visit my grandkids. In my view, you can't ask for more bang for your buck. I will be doing my trip to Lancaster again next week. Looking forward to the visit, and will probably write another review afterwards!

the rooms are large and clean, staff was very friendly and gave us good directions. coming from paris france we did not know the area but the staff helped us alot. we stayed three nights and had a great stay.

but the continential breakfast was very poor. Donuts, not very healthy.

we like this hotel because it is located right off the main road. we felt very safe and the hotel was very nice and clean. they have a view of a real amish farm in the back. the staff was helpful in giving us directions to sight and sound entertainment center.

we stayed here because they have access to the new indoor waterpark down the street. the kids loved the waterpark and we will stay here again. the hotel wasnt that expensive and was nice and clean. staff was friendly specially the night clerk.

price was very affordable not like the other hotels in the area which were charging double price. we got a friendly smile upon check in from the clerk and got a clean room. thats all that mattered to me. we felt very safe and the parking lot was well lit. hotel is right off the main road so you didnt feel lonely either.
