Quality Inn Merriam, Merriam

They put us on the 3rd floor at the very end of an empty hotel. The outside door was right outside our room door and it had been pried open and did not shut. We did not feel safe. I was having surgery and they would not honor the discount. We decided not to stay there and were told we would not be charged but there was a charge of $221.00 on the card that we need to get fixed. Not sure why one night would have cost that much. Also, there was to be a fridge and microwave in the room and there wasn't. The owners did not speak English around us. It wasn't dirty but we did not feel safe staying there. We ended up going to the Drury Inn just up the road and it was wonderful.

The staff was very helpful. The car was broken & i contacted to car repair but no one showed up. I had to be in the meeting i was very late. The staff helped me to make my meeting successful.

If it wasn't for that fact that it was NASCAR weekend in KC, we would have tried to find another place to stay. My wife and I made reservations 8 months before the race at a Fairfield Inn. The day before, I we called to check on the reservations and we found out it was now an Excutive Inn. The place was a wreck (under construction, and shoddy at that) and people were lined up in the lobby because the managment had double booked quite a few rooms. Trash littered the outside of the motel and despite many people wanting to talk to the manager, he flatly refused to talk with anyone that evening. We paid premium price ($109.00/night) for a room that was worth $50 tops. I highly recommend you spend the night in your vehical rather then pay to stay at the Executive Inn in Merriam, KS.

I had made reservation at the then named Fairfield Inn. A few days later I recieved an e-mail from Marriott stating they were removing their name from this hotel. I cancelled my reservation.
The now named executive Inn charged my credit card for one nights stay. When I called I was told by staff that the hotel was again under new managment. Iwas told that they could not help me. I would have to contact the old managment to resovle the issue,only problem they did not have any phone numbers for the old managers.
I have contacted my credit card company and plan to contact the BB.
