Woodfield Inn and Suites of Marshfield: Skip It!
I am disgusted by how you treated my family that was in town for a military funeral for a dear family member.
First here are some tips & general warnings if you are planning on staying here
Lack of outlets. If you have medical devices (or any electronics that need to be plugged in to charge) good luck finding enough outlets or ones close enough to where you need them. Bring an extension cord and/or power strip.
Bring a few extra blankets. The place gets really cold at night. It is almost like the heat stops working at night.
This is NOT a kid friend place. Do not let the pool, OLD arcade games, etc fool you. Management really has no tolerance for kids
The pool and hot tub were DIRTY and COLD. I refused to go in. When things foam up like they were that is usually a huge sign of bacteria.
Shower only partially worked. Half came out the shower head, half came out the faucet. I only hope your tub drains. My brother & sister-in-laws didn't.
Flush the toilet and hear a hissing noise for a good two minutes. I guess I have to be happy it flushed.
The shower floor had a crack in it and you could feel the sogginess under it. So, remember your shower flip flops.
There is no coffee maker, refrigerator or microwave in the rooms. Plan accordingly.
If you can't do steps, make sure you demand a first floor room as there is no elevator.
Lights are few and far between.
Floors, chairs and walls were dirty. I could see hearts drawn into the walls and the wall paper was coming off the walls. Wear some sort of shoes or slippers at all times.
Water is horrible out of the tap - very chlorinated. None of the soda machines had regular water in them, so bring your own water. As of the time this review was published, the soda machine was $1.25 per bottle.
The chain for the door was broken and with no peep hole you have no way to see who is at your door.
Now to the meat and the potatoes of this visit to this hotel, your management has much to be desired. Any manager that allows other rooms to call to rooms and harass and swear at the people above them at all hours of the night & morning for people just walking in the room has no clue how to operate a hotel.
For the fact you did not have the common decency to physically come up and speak to us about this is horrible. Managers represent the company. You did not do that. You represented mismanagement. Your staff for the most part was rude and not helpful at all. Not only did you not show up to our rooms in a timely manner to discuss these matter as you were well past the 15 minutes promised, we had to track you down after the front desk again. It was about another 10 minutes later, you decided to call us and blame it on my nephews. They were just walking. They weren't running, they weren't jumping, and they weren't screaming or kicking.
When I can feel the floor vibrate from the person hitting the ceiling in the adjoining room, you know this is a vindictive person. You were given the option of discussing this or the cops would be called. It is a federal offense to do what this guy was doing via the phone. We should have called the police and pressed charges against the person staying downstairs but you begged us not to. I have to wonder why?
When we checked out, the manager refused to come to the counter to discuss these matters in person yet again.
Reading the reviews on several different sites, we are not the only ones who have had problems with the management.
If I could rate this with NO STARS, I would. You get one because the place didn't burn down to the ground. We will not be back to this hotel and I will be filing a complaint with the Better Business Bureau.
If you plan on staying here after reading all of these reviews, I wish you the best of luck.
