Baymont Inn & Suites Jackson, Jackson

I had to travel to Jackson on a recent business trip, which I often do. The hotel I generally stay at was booked full, as well as all other hotels in Jackson except for this one- the Baymont. I made reservations for a two night stay at this hotel. Upon arrival the desk clerk was standing in the front drive smoking a cigarette, I had to wait for her to check in. looking around I noticed the lobby was not very clean and there were grease streaks in the carpet, there also was a funny odor reeking throughout the building. I went ahead and check in because my options were limited. Once in my room the odor remained and there were like grease streaks in the carpet. I then took a shower and the tub drain was clogged, the tub filled half way with water and never did drain—I checked out and drove 45 min away from Jackson to find another place to stay. Also on my way out, on the lobby couch, this person was all stretched out appearing to be going to sleep. I believe he was there waiting on the clerk to get off work. I would not recommend this hotel to my worst enemy. This is the first time I have ever commented on anything—I just feel it may save someone a huge disappointment

I think things have changed since the other reviews because my stay was amazing at this Hotel, especially compared to other ones in this area. When I walked in the lobby, the staff were very friendly and I looked around and was happy to see how clean and tidy it was. It did not smell at all. Check in was fast and easy. I went to my room and the floors were clean, the room was roomy. The furniture was not old and dirty but clean and comfortable. The bed linens were like new and clean. The bed was comfortable also. There are lots of stations on the large TV. There was a clock, coffee pot, hair dryer, toiletries, and an iron with board. It was quiet and the A/C worked fine. In the morning I went to breakfast which was a real breakfast with hot food like eggs, biscuits and gravy, sauceage, waffles, juices, pastries etc. I will be going back here for sure. I stay in many hotels all over the country and I know a good one when I stay at it. I tried staying at the Motel6 (smelly,dirty) and Travelodge(FILTHY w/roaches don't go there) and was very happy to find the Baymont.

Our stay was very good. Staff was nice, hotel was clean. We definitley would stay again.

The place is a dump. It is not clean, the help acts like they could care less to be there, and the secons floor had a smell permeating the hallway. Not a good stay.
