Premier Inns Mission Valley, San Diego

Decent location adjacent to the I-8 freeway. Even had a lot of covered parking and the pool and hot tub were clean and well maintained. Rooms were a bit small but for under $35 a night it was an improvement over a Motel 6. I would stay again and recommend, but it not a Holiday Inn or even a 2 Star designation.

The room looks clean..check the bed, pillow and blanket before you sit or lay down, you will see a lot of small insects look like cockroach...was nasty...

First of all the hotel is quite nice, but not to stay at maybe to just drive right past. The reason why is because the maids are theifts if you ever leave something in your room on accident, and decide to go checkout at check out time, be sure you take everything out the room. Or else when those so called maids come and clean the room, whatever is left in their that belongs to you and not the maids they will take it! Also when you call Premier Inn to see if your belonging(s) are their their going to tell you NO! Thats because that so called hotel are theifts!

Flooded parking, police activitity-arrest at the motel, rooms not ready when pledged, ineffective reception staffer, lowlifes smoking in the hallways. No good answer to my complaint upon arrival about the 4 rooms not being ready when pledged...."nothing I can do..." approach from the tooth-challenged front desk person. Having someone that poorly dressed and groomed was a huge turnoff. The stay went downhill from there, as you can see by the complaint. I referred them to the BBB, and will ask AAA to remove them from there recommended motels.

I stay here when I come in town for business. I have frequented other places in the same price range and some that cost more. I will say that you get a good deal for the price. I won't mention the other places that I've stayed, but they all belong to national chains. These guys are local to California and Arizona. The staff is very helpful. And there is a desk guy named Tony who knows alot about the town and some great eating places. He was very informative and well versed on local neighborhoods.

My family and I stayed at this hotel last summer for a few days. We got the "upgraded" room which had new furniture, appliances, carpet, etc. It was nice. The only thing that grossed me out a little, was at the time, my daughter was crawling, and about after 5-minutes of crawling on the floor in our room, her little legs were black. Everything looked very clean, but of course we know that there is dust and dirt in hotel rooms, it was just kind of disturbing to see it on my daughter's legs.

The hotel staff was ok, there was a very knowledgeable clerk named "Tony". He was very funny and gave us lots of information about different things to do. Me and my wife were in San Diego on some unpleasent family matters. Thanks to the ideas we got from him it turned into a great visit. If you are going to San Diego and need a great budget location this is the spot. But, we don't want it to get to popular.

This little motel is a great value with a terrific location for getting in and around San Diego. The key to a happy stay is to ask for the recently upgraded rooms. The inn is currently refurbishing rooms and the new ones are small but terrific. A tiled walk in shower replacing the old curtain bathtub type is a favorite for me. Premier Inn offers the best room rates in Mission Valley. I have been here for a week and will stay here again.
