This will be our 3rd or 4th visit........

We have been to this resort three or four times, and each time have left, knowing that we would come back. We will be going again this June - we live in the USA - so this is quite a journey. Unlike the other Club Meds, this one is more luxurious, with comfier beds & surroundings - not as Spartan as the others we have experienced, but yet loved. Last time we were there, there were a very international set of residents, and we got to practise the little French, German & Dutch which we knew, but everyone seemed to be able to speak English, so we were very lazy in speaking in our native tongue. The only snag is that the beach is below the hotel, and you have to go down quite a number of steps; however, it is very worthwhile as the beach is great. Lazing around the pool, under the pine trees, is wonderfully relaxing, and there is something for everyone at this resort.

Before starting I've got to say that I only stayed in this hotel 2 days. Even so, it was enough to feel the dynamics of the resort. It is a family resort though you don't see many kids around. There are many activities available (golf practice, beach volley, pool, table tennis...). While I was there (June) the weather was great and the hotel didnt seem to be fully booked (though they asked us to leave our room earlier because they needed it). The room (in the Hotel du Golf - I dont know the rooms in the other building) was too small and simple. In my opinion it was the worst part of the hotel. Despite being located in Portugal, you'll experience a totally French-speaking vacation! Bonjour is the official word! This was a bit awkward as I am Portuguese and I wasn't understood in my own country.
