Awesome place!
By Dutch, 4/22/12
Jennifer at front desk was super helpful, Merv in the restaurant was entertaining, it is close to everything at Blue Mountain, but out of the way, and the kids had a blast with so many activities in the clubhouse (what a great idea), pool, mini putt course, tennis, shuffleboard, horseshoes...it was just great all in all. Nicest vacation we have had, cant wait to go back.

Terrible Customer Service
They cancelled my reservation 4 days before my check-in date because they finally took the time to read their computer data and noticed that I had been there a year ago. Since that means that their chances of making a sale on their timeshare to me was lower, they decided to screw me and cancel my reservation (and screw up all my other plans for the weekend) because statistically I was going to be a money loser. They know nothing about customer service. You absolutely don't want to visit a place like that whose first priority is making money and not customer service. You are just a wallet to them, don't fool yourself.

Our 2nd Home in Ontario
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 2/4/09
We love everything about Georgian Manor, beautiful newly decorated rooms, large foyer to relax in by the f/p and chat or play cards, close to everything movies, 5 lg food store chains, Walmart, Zellers, Mall. Lots of wildlife in the area if you keep your eyes open, close to quaint towns of Meaford and Thornberry, Great skiing esp if you get the 5 x 7 pass at BlueMountain, 5 mins away. Friendly staff, great gym, free computer to use for patrons, we love everything about Georgian Manor and it's only a 2 hr drive from home in Grimsby, Ontario. we are hopeful the long promised hot tub will be replaced soon. Thanks.

Don't do it! Better Resorts Nearby!
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 9/26/07
We are members of the Resort Club at Georgian Manor Resort, and have been there several times. I regret becoming a member and would not recommend visitng the resort to anyone at any time. The service in booking and throughout the resort is horrible as they are constantly overbooked and more focused on selling time-share units rather than servicing the immediate customers. Expect cramped weekends when they are hosting their "Sales Blitzes", offering free weekends to potential members for Time Share purposes. The restaurant is is pricy for the quality of food and service you receive; atmosphere small and not well thought out. Apparently they are including upgrades to dining but are taking their time doing it. The Spa is very overpriced for the service you get and the atmosphere; expect delays, overbooking and not very refined attendants. If you want a relaxed, quiet atmosphere for your massage forget it, as I had a massage in the room located right next to the noisy reception area, when there were plenty of other empty rooms I could have been placed. The indoor pool area requires upgrading. The upgraded luxury suites (if you are lucky enough to get one) are very nice in decor, but that's the only positive point I can offer. Don't expect a great room view. Invest your money towards a nearby Intrawest or other Blue Mountain Resort, where you will receive the modern, refined services for the same money.

5 years faithful
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 6/24/07
We purchased our 2 BR condo five years ago, after the free stay presentation. Our family and friends have thoroughly enjoyed all that Georgian Manor, and Collingwood has to offer. We look forward to the continuing improvements of the resort and many more pleasant stays.

Special Invitation
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 6/8/07
I was contacted by a representative saying that they would like to send an initation to my husband and I for the Georgian Manor Resort. I was hesitant because I thought that I had to make reservation that evening, like every other resort that I have been contacted by. I had never used my "prize" before. The young lady at the other end of the phine ensured me that all she wanted to do was send me the information and that it had nothig to do with timeshare at all. Still a little hesitant I agreed. I was told that I would be contacted again. About a week later I was contacted and was told about the stay in more detail. I was told that I had to go on a group tour that was 90 min and I would get the stay for 59.95. I agreed only because again I was esured that it was not fr timesharing at all. I had a wonderful stay with them and can't wait to visit again. As much as I was nervous about the whole idea, both the reservations staff and resort staff made me feel welcome and extreamly comfortable. I recommend to everyone that if you are contacted visit. I was an amazing experience and all of the work that they have put in to the resort looks absolutly amazing. By the way ANY reviews submitted before I believe they said they beginnig of this year, are not accurate to what the resort is now!

Skiing vacation
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 4/9/07
We stayed in a spacious one bedroom condominium in the older part of the hotel. It was free but we had to attend a presentation on the vacation membership. We declined the membership and the salespeople did not give us a hard time. The presentation was a bit unclear on what the membership really offered. There seemed to be a lot of options, alternatives. May be it was just a lot to digest in such a short period of time. The condominium was clean and comfortable. There is still construction at the front lobby. The staff were friendly and the meals were big in portion. The pool was a bit small, there were a lot of people in it. My son enjoyed the clubhouse and my wife used the spa services. There was a shuttle to the slopes but you had to pay extra for the service.

special package!!!!
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 3/6/07
I was contacted about this great deal last April 2006 and then they charged my credit card in April for $98.00 dollars for the room. We weren't able to go in 2006 and when I called to see if I could get my $ back they said no,that I had agreed to tour with them, stay 1 night with them and then get my money back. I understood if I stayed 1 night with them, and didn't tour, then I would have to pay for the room. I haven't been there 1 night and yet I have paid for accomodations. Something is not right here.Beware...there is nothing free....

This place was great and a i'm looking forward to going back. It would just be better if you had 3 bedrooms instead of two.

Really like this place
By Elizabeth, 6/7/06
We love Collingwood. We have bought into the Georgian Manor Resort. We thoroughly enjoy it there. The people are really nice and have gone out of there way to help us out, especially seeing as I am handicapped. The only thing I wish that they would do is put in an automated handicapped door as I cannot leave the resort unless there is someone there that can open the door for me. We have alway found the place to be very clean.
