Beautiful Indian Wells Resort
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 1/3/11
Beautiful place, very nice decor and overall staff is friendly. What I disliked was the daily $25.00 Resort Fee that was undisclosed, and I became aware of it until checkout.

Great Place, Horrible Food
By Joseph V, 1/30/09
My wife and I fell in love with the location and amenities when we stayed there a couple of weeks ago. It's a shame we could not say the same about the food at the restaurants. I don't know who is in charge of their menu but the quality of the food there has really gone down. We would recommend the hotel for the pool and location, but eat out.

Great family friendly resort
By Jenn Mendoza, 6/1/08
Hotel: The resort overall is very beautiful. We were impressed with the lobby and décor throughout the hotel. Our hotel room was clean and contemporary. We enjoyed the LCD TV and were able to watch some HD channels. We had no problems using the high speed internet access. The fitness center was nice with user-friendly treadmills and elliptical machines. Pools: We arrived after Memorial Day holiday; therefore, we did not have any problem getting a poolside chair. Our toddler loved the sandy beach area and shallow pools. The waterfall was a nice touch to the pool area. Food: We booked the “Stay for Breakfast” package and enjoyed the breakfast buffet at Cava restaurant. We also had lunch and dinner at Cava. You must try the BBQ hangar steak salad and French fries, both items tasted very good! Spa: I booked a massage and nail service during our stay there. Massage was relaxing, but I would NOT recommend the nail service. That area is in a separate room from the “tranquil environment” of the Spa. I found it very awkward that I had to walk down the main hallway, through the hair salon, and then enter the nail room…while wearing my spa robe! It was no longer a “quiet” setting because you could hear the conversations of the hair salon employees and customers in the next room. Overall we enjoyed the family friendly environment and relaxing ambiance of the resort and will definitely go back there in the future.

Simply Beautiful
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 2/16/08
I do not normally write reviews but I feel that everyone should know just how lovely this hotel truely is. I have stayed in a lot of luxury hotels but I just loved this one so much. I am a big fan of Renaissance Hotels and this one did not disapoint. I stayed here in July so it was very hot but the pool was fantastic and the air con was always just right. The room service was quick and was not overpriced at all. All of the staff were ever so courteous - whenever they saw you approaching the hotel there would always be soemone there to hold the door open for you. We used the valet parking which was great at only $22 per day but there was free parking too just behind the valet car park. One tiny problem is that you have to drive to get anywhere but TBH when it's 45 degrees you do not really want to walk very far anyway. In conclusion, the hotel was beautiful, clean and genuninely nicer than some 5* resorts I've stayed in. I would definitely go back and am very glad that I chose it instead of the Grand Hyatt across the road. I am just so pleased that there are no negative reviews for this hotel - it truely deserves all of the praise that it gets.

A Little Bit of Heaven
By Kevin, 7/23/07
I found where my heart truly belongs when I took my family to Renaissance Esmerelda Resort and Spa. The grounds are breath taking and relaxing. The fantastic service and ammenities really made my entire family feel like royalty. We especcily enjoyed the spa and the outdoor swimming pool with a pool bar. Although we physically left the resort, our thoughts and hearts are still there.

Alternative Palm Springs Vacation Indian Wells
By Joycee, 9/25/06
Renaissance Esmeralda Resort & Spa was an amazing weekend spend with my friends. You can spend your entire weekend at the hotel and not even leave. Looking for a weekend of pool and sun in the fun with the kids..this is it. The Pools are only 4 ft deep so your kids are safe, plenty of life guards, a sand area and they even have a day camp for arts and crafts so you can have some adult fun. The bar at the pool is equipt with plenty of drinks for the young and older one's in your group and they also will place your food order and bring it out to you pool side. After a day of fun, they even have movie night out on the lawn by the pool. When we were there they featured the incredibles. Perfect warm weather to sit out and about at 9pm in your swimsuit with the kids and hang out. The rooms are incredible with wonderful views and the staff were like your best friends. I am looking forward to taking my kids back for another wonderful weekend vacation. If you live in San Diego or L.A. It can be up to a 2 hour drive but and you don't have to mess with the current air travel demands of carry on luggage and terror treats.

A Place To Relax
By Enrico, 6/16/06
I love the Esmeralda. The resort is beautiful. The pool is majestic, especially with the water falls. The restaurant has the best rib eye steak I've ever had! The drinks at pool side are wonderful. Try the Chamelleon drink!! This place is so awesome, we go here every year now. It is so wonderful and beautiful, that this had to be the place where I proposed to my fiance! Right by the grand stair case. I can't wait for my trip next month. Staff is great, from the parking attendant all the way to the bar tender. Plus if you have kids, they throw a movie every summer night at poolside!! How great is that! I would definetly highly recommend it.

My Desert Oasis
By NORAH, 7/16/05
The Renaissance was overall a great vacation for families. I personally loved the hotel for its service and cleanliness. The rooms were excellent along with the pool, fitness room, and restaurants. One thing that impressed me was the concierge, because they gave me a whole list of things to do and see in the coachella valley area. Every night at the hotel, they showed a movie out by the swimming pool on a big screen. The pool is awesome, it was the most fun pool I have been in. Whenever you become thirsty, you can hop out of the pool and grab a drink at the bar in the center of the pool. In your room at night, you can watch a whole sleuth of new release movies for a very good price. If you are craving luxury, this is the place to go. The hotel is in a romantic setting with the rugged Santa Rosa mountains right behind it. The inside of the hotel was inspired by the beutiful Mediterranean Sea. I strongly recommend this hotel as the BEST vacation resort in the Mojave desert. The most luxurious hotel in the area. Best of all, it has the greatest price, starting at $99 for one night. So while you can, take the interstate 10 to indian wells and have an awesome time.
