Holiday Inn Express Zona Hotelera, Cancun

Every was excellent, but I feel that you shouldn't charged me for the broken lamp due to the fact everything in your hotel is insured.

No frills hotel that is a short bus ride from the central district. Beds were terrible, but this was a few years back. Average to above average service for a very low comparable price.

I stayed at this hotel for a couple of nights recently and found it great value for what you get ... excellent pool with breakfast taken in the bar area ... quiet and easy to sleep ... the AC worked well and the hotel staff were efficient ... the towels were a bit on the thin side however they did an excellent job. The location is fine if you have transportation. I will be back for Christmas! when I am not working

The hotel is very nice, rooms are cool and clean, and the service was good. The courtyard pool area is beautiful, especially if traveling with small children. And the free breakfast served on the veranda covered in mosquito nets was very relaxing. However, it is rather far from any attractions, beaches, or restruants. It is nice that they offer a sister hotel with a private beach, the catch being once inside that hotel they want to buy into a timeshare and will not leave you alone.

The Holiday Inn Express is in the middle of residential Cancun. Not a very clean area, especially if you want to walk anywhere and feel realativly safe. The pool area has 4 walls, you have to move from side to side to stay in the sun all day. Although the people were friendly, they were not very efficient. We had a mouse that wouldn't leave our room. We had to wait forever for the shuttle bus to take us to their sister hotel, (at least they have that going for them). Over all, Holiday Inn's are a good expierence. However, if traveling anytime soon to Cancun, ask your travel agent or at least shop around for a GREAT hotel, don't settle for this one. Good luck and happy travels!!

I would not recommend this hotel at all. On the first day of our 7-day trip, the concierge grabbed my friends breasts and said "You are very sexy. Are these natural?" We never got any towels in our hotel room, so we would have to call down and ask for them to take a shower. The people at the front desk did not know how to exchange traveler's checks, and had us sign the wrong part although we tried explaining (in Spanish) that this was wrong, but they didn't listen. As a result, they called us several times during the week to fix the traveler's checks we cashed on the first day. On the last day of the trip, they gave us back the traveler's checks because they said they could not accept them and demanded the money, which we had already spent and had no more. They wouldn't let our African-American friends into the hotel, and called them racial slurs. We had no power for a full night. There is so much more, and besides, this hotel is not even on the beach or close to anything in Cancun. I would stay anywhere BUT here. Good luck!

We stayed at the Holiday Inn at a discount as part of a hotels package. The hotel is a bit further away from downtown though, so we had to take a short bus ride. No air conditioning when I was there. Room service was quick and the staff was friendly. Overall, it's better than the average Holiday Inn in terms of service. Average for Holiday Inn in most other areas. Beds were below average though and they really needed new box springs.

Overall, it would be an average stay at an average place, except for their man at the desk Isaac. Isaac is one of those unhappy souls who find their way into an associate position in the service industry, then work at pissing off the client by offering, then denying simple amenities and services. The modus operandi of such Passive-agressives invariably involves endearing themselves with their boss, who then canonot believe anyone would be unhappy with their darling boy... Pick a different hotel. This was not the best value advertised, nor the cheapest, but was selected by me because od quality service from Holiday Inn at other places, at other times. Bad,Bad choice, one I won't repeat. it's so dismal, don't even try it once.

I was there during the New Year's Holiday. Staff was great. Hotel was OK. For the price, I couldn't really conplain about the location. Although they tell you its only 5 minutes away, please figure a slight bit more for the walk. I am a walker, so it was no big deal.
