The Woodmark Hotel and Spa, Kirkland

I had travelled here from Taos, and was not pleased with my visit to the spa. As I was settling into my massage table, the massusse was friendly enough, however as I looked at the ground I saw dust balls, dirt, and what looked like a rat! The tea was good, but the massage was the fastest massage ever. Stay away!

We just attended a wedding there on 07/07/07 What a FABULOUS venue ...We were amazed at the beauty of the hotel and the staff were fantastic ...Chris and Niki had the most beautiful wedding my husband and I have attended. The Woodmark is a cozy, relaxing hotel tucked away on Lake Washington. They have really gone out of their way to make their guests feel right at home. There were a number of extra amenities that you can't find at most hotels. We stayed in a room that overlooked Lake Washington. From our room we could see not only the lake, but Seattle in the distance as well. It was a beautiful spot to watch the sunrise and sunset every day. While we were there, there were weddings going on in the tent outside our room almost every night (we went on Labor Day weekend). But with the exception of the first night, we never heard any music or noise past 8pm, and even then it was minimal even with the balcony door open. The only drawbacks to this hotel are that the food is expensive and there aren't a lot of other options within walking distance. The food in the hotel is very good, but pricey. There are 3 restaurants in the complex it is in, but they are also in the high end. Downtown Kirkland is about a 20 minute walk and Seattle is around a 15 minute drive with no traffic. If you don't mind driving or taking a cab to go places, the Woodmark is a wonderful place to unwind and enjoy beautiful Lake Washington.
