When traveling to PA for a week in the month of May, 07, I stayed at this hotel, which was the best part of the trip! This place is so wonderful, the staff, the view, awesome! We went out that way to visit the Mohegan Sun Racetracks, but, the hotel WAS the best part!

Very nice place to stay

We stayed here over the Easter break. We had two adjoining rooms and both rooms were a nice size and had a more than adequate size bathroom. Beds were comfortable and roms were clean. Wireless access was free which was nice for me to keep in touch with my football scores!!! The pool here was also very nice with a hot tub and sauna which we used!! My only crticism would be that the food we had at the restaurant for breakfast was not very good to be honest. Close to Pocono Downs and a whole bunch of shops if you are so inclined. All in all a good place to stay.

Excellent wedding

East Mountain Inn hosted my wedding in the Fall of 2004. I've never once questioned choosing them as our site. The sales staff went way beyond what I would have expected to ensure that everything was "just so," and they did it graciously and without question. Their prices are definitely competitive with other similar-class hotels in the area for weddings, only their prices include taxes and gratuities, so there are no unpleasant surprises after already paying a ton per person for the reception. And you get a lot for that per person fee. For out-of-town guests, they also offer discounted blocks of rooms and a free presidential suite for the newlyweds with a FANTASTIC view. As another reviewer mentioned, the location isn't all that great just because of how the highways are configured. It's out of the traffic of town and high enough on the hilltop to guarantee breathtaking views (especially in the autumn), but it is quite difficult getting onto I-81 South from the hotel. Overall, I wouldn't worry about a thing in choosing East Mountain Inn for an overnight stay, long-term stay, or special event.

(Location) Not Worth The Expense.

I Stayed At this hotel about a year ago. It is a nice hotel. There is a breakfast and lunch buffet. The rooms are clean, the staff polite. A mint on my pillow. They even have a piano player. The problem is, this place is located in such an inconvienent spot it's not worth the $100+ a night you're going to be paying just to sleep. By the time they tack on all the extra charges and taxes your bill will come to well over 100 dollars a night. This hotel is meant mainly for banquets and weddings. There are much better hotel values in this area. Such as the Econo-Lodge/Best Western off of I-81 on Rt-315. which offers the same amenities such as free high-speed internet access, indoor/swimming & gym and a great grill and bar. at a much lower $60 a night. Plus they are located a stones throw from the interstate. If you plan on staying at the Best Western East Mountain Inn & Suites, have your GPS locater ready. Happy Motoring.
