Problems with door lock, noise, rats
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 3/25/07
Checked in on March 12th for business; colleagues were to join me next day. Meant to stay for a week. Front desk folk nice, rooms relatively clean, but noise from elevator and some kind of rhythmic generator kept me up. Front desk moved me in the middle of the night, but new room door wouldn't lock. Moved to another room, worse noise, no sleep. Left without checking out after I begged a rate reduction from Sheraton for myself and staff. My taxi driver told me Days Inn's neighborhood was a dangerous part of town; wasn't that great for sure. When I checked into the Sheraton and when my staff checked into Sheraton there were other people checking in at the same time who had left Days Inn because of the noise; one couple had seen rats in the hall. If Days Inn is renovating they sure haven't finished, and even though front desk people were nice, it was just an uncomfortable scary place to stay. We lost a lot of money moving but it was worth it. We won't book there again.
