Virginia Hotel, Cape May

The hotel was impressive. The staff was friendly and accomodating. Check in could have been a problem due to the reservations made by phone, but Melissa (Front Desk) took the time to correct the problem. The room was pretty and very clean. Don't miss out on a fine dining experience at the hotels own restaurant - The Ebbit Room, you won't have to leave this hotel! No cars needed. The beach is a half of a block away and a peddlers mall a half of a block in the other direction. We will be back to Cape May sooner than we thought! Thank you Virginia Hotel.

What a beautiful place to stay. The staff makes you feel special and pay attention to detail. The General Manager, Justin Mogavero was just wonderful, assisted me with several special surprises for my wife - it was our Wedding Anniversary. Pamper yourself and stay at the Virginia. The rooms were beautiful, in the fall they have a fire going in one of the front sitting areas - how cozy! Treat yourself!

had bugs in my room. was so disappointed. when u walk in it looks beautiful but that was the end of that. very overpriced and not what i expected. especially bugs. there are so many other beauties in cape may so why stay here?

We have been regular visitors to CM for years now, some time ago we discovered this quaint hotel with a European feel to it. Don't know what the managers/owners were thinking when they re-did the dining room and let go some of their best staff, but it was a big mistake. The new staff is not very friendly, the cleaning was non-exsistant and the food has gone way down hill. And worst of all, their biggest error in judgement, was the letting go of Steve LaManna. He made that place, we looked forward to our evenings on the porch listening to his beautiful piano playing. He was there over 15 years and had lots of followers, we really are disappointed with this "change" made by the owners (same one's who own Congress Hall!) First rule in buisness, if it ain't broke, don't fix it. We don't recommend coming here to anyone!

This was a lovely place, just redone with new furniture, beding, etc. Problem was that they failed to get the musty smell out of the rooms. My clothes (and me!) smelled musty after being there for 2 nights. Nice people, though, and good service.
