Horrible!

When looking for a hotel in the seacoast, NH area I looked at the Hampshire Inn website. It mentioned that they have "jacuzzi suites" available. I called and reserved one. The cost was $123.00 plus tax ($132.84), but I was willing to pay for the jacuzzi in my room. The site also shows that the hotel was given 5 stars. I paid cash upon arrival. When I arrived in my room, there was no jacuzzi, but but instead the bathtub had whirlpool jets. The tub was not clean and there were tiles coming up off the floor. I could not even swim in the pool because there were mucus-like chunks floating in it. I alerted the woman at the front desk of the issues with my room and my overall unsatisfaction. I was told that if I wanted my money back I could speak with the manager the following day. It was then 11pm and there was a very slim chance of finding another place to stay on 4th of July weekend. So, the next morning at checkout I asked to speak with the manager and was told that he would not be available until 2pm. I took his card and called at 2pm. I spoke with Bob Beal who was not very customer service oriented. He informed me that he was aware of the floatings going on in the pool and explained to me that it "was only foam and cement floating and nothing to worry about". When I informed him of the other problems I'd had he told me that he would refund only 40% ($52.00 which is not even 40%), and that my cash payment had to be refunded in check form and mailed to me. This was all he claimed he could do. I feel that not only was there false advertising involved, but that the state of the room was not up to any kind of standard whatsoever. If the only other option at that time of night was not to sleep in my car I would have left the second I saw that bathroom.
