A hidden gem..under new management
By Jennifer Mosley, 06/04/09
I loved the staff there, great service. The staff member told me that the htoel went under new management so they have upgraded a lot.The rooms werent amazingly clean but not bad. The prices were great. Was in town for hunting and fishing. I have this place already booked fro next year.

Cozy place...great town...gets no better
By S, 06/04/09
I loved the staff. They were very friendly and made my stay there better. They recommended great places to eat, and have fun! The manager did everything in hers hands to meet my needs. Overall, I really enjoyed red wing and super 8.

Very comfy stay
By Kyra, 06/04/09
I loved the whole atmosphere. All the other motels are near the highway except this one, so got a wonderful sleep there! Can't wait to go back next year!

"Improvements and Cleanliness Required"
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 07/23/08
I would not recommend this hotel to anyone. Our family booked 12 rooms and this is what we thought: Hotel cleanliness needs major improvement, carpet in hotel and rooms was dirty, lights in some rooms malfunctioned, cable television was static, hotel smelled of smoke from smoking rooms. The outside security doors didn't lock, no security card required for hotel access. Indoor pool needs improvement and room was about 90 degrees or above. No discount was provided for large reservations. The rate was $98 plus tax. Too much money for a hotel in this condition!

Disgusting Hotel
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 09/28/07
My sister and I live in different cities and we met in Redwing for a sister's weekend. Unfortunatley, we were booked at the Super 8. The room was disgusting! Windows so filthy you couldn't see out of them. No way to lock the windows, carpet was so dirty you couldn't take off your shoes, the picture above my bed had a big crack with a cockroach inside and a piece of tape over the crack, the security doors didn't lock. We were booked for 2 nights, but the minute it was daylight we checked out. There was no way we would spend another night in that hotel. I would not recommend this hotel to anyone. The rate was $98 plus tax. Too much money for this dump! There was nothing to like.

Horrible Stay
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 08/21/07
We booked eight rooms for our daughters wedding. Several rooms had standing water in the bath tub as you took a shower. One room had no frig. One room a/c broke. Our a/c hardly worked. Very few towels at the pool and I called we had to wait 30 minutes for towels. Had trouble with getting discounts for our guests. Staff was rude.

Sleepless night.
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 10/24/05
Our room was very loud. The railroad runs right next to the hotel and the train ran by at least three times during the time that we were trying to sleep. We could hear the person above us walking very clearly and when they took a shower, it sounded like they were in our room with us. We could hear random plumbing noises all night long. The fridge rattled and gurgled off and on all night. The bed was loud and the sheets were very rough.

Super 8 Red Wing
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 09/27/04
The staff is very friendly. The rooms are ok for cleanliness. There isn't a coffee maker in the room, so I will bring my own next time. I am going back to stay there for a couple of weeks as I own a masonry business and we are doing some work in the city. Red Wing is a very nice city! Cheryl from Minnesota :+)
